Guest guest
Thanks for keeping us updated, Janel. With our focus on Ayurveda in this group, we want to look at what can be done to support these women after birth as well as in prevention. The prevention and political discussions can be greatly enhanced by understanding the greater needs and risks after birth and their best management - looking at the whys for best management. This is not only with cesarean births, but for low birth rate and preterm babies. I would like to know who on this forum works often with this clientelle? At 30% c-rate it is more and more... We would like to have written red flags as well as care protocols readiy available for the babies' special needs at this time. Much has been discussed here in this direction, of course, and with the AyurDoula care, we spend many hours (about 160 plus internship) learning how to support and understand the woman's needs, including special guidelines after surgery. It is important to understand that ours is not medical or midwifery level training for crisis care needs. I personally will defer to the holiday timing here and say " to be continued " , with a wish for peaceful, satisfying and gratitude filled Thanksgiving holiday for all.
