Guest guest
Ysha, You posted this a couple weeks ago and I know I had responded to you privately because I had a printed protocol and told you I didn't know what it's source was. Well, I was cleaning out my email and way back in May last year I'm talking 2005!), Adrienne posted a link in response to a similar question about GBS and that's where the protocol came from. I had printed the protocol and saved it in my filing cabinet, but without the link or source. I couldn't believe when I came across that old email! Anyways, here's the link: http://thebirthsource.homestead.com/gbs.html And I checked and it's still there (but with a disclaimer) Did Jessica deliver? ayurveda , " Ysha Oakes " <AyurDoulas wrote: > > Sharing this request from another forum - > Anyone have a tried and true method (or testimonial) > for kicking Vaginal Group B strep? > URGENT! > > Jessica Wild >
Guest guest
Hi Saroj; Thank you for sharing this. The link offers several options and the first one is extreme in my opinion, I feel to say. Optionally something like this is what I would do - Soak piece of unbleached flannel (instead of tampon), maybe 2X4 inches- with enough carrier oil to moisten after adding I would only use 5 -8 drops lemon, 5 oregano and maybe 10 savory at the most. Tampons suck too much body moisture and use up too much eoils to create needed oiliness. The optoin which uses 98% olive oil 2% tea tree offers what sounds like a wiser timing (6 days at 4 hours daily it says worked for the woman discussed) - I can't immagine recommending to use the first recipe even modified for many weeks on end (to say nothing of the cost). If for some problem longer use was recommended, good dilution is essential, and some drops of myrrh oil can be added, being both antibacterial and very soothing and healing to mucosa as well as skin. It is an interesting note, however, that Chinese and Ayurvedically trained physician Claudia Welsch offers a recipe guaranteed for vaginal candida, which is up to 50% tea tree/olive oil mix on a tampon, used oh my, I am not sure where I have the frequency, but it is repeated regularly for several weeks. That is a strong solution, and for beginners she recommends 1/4 part tea tree. I still insist the use of tampon unless it is meant generically for someting like a small cloth, is unnecessary, wasteful of the oils, and possibly damaging to the vaginal tissues. Wild dear Jessica never got back to me...she has quite a following on her forum and had sent out request for info from many practitioners. Her baby is due Mid December and gestating comfortably. Except that 5 days of whatever tx she did was not enough to kick the GBS; she continues to use lots of oils to reduce the bacteria levels, feels if she had 2 weeks she would have kicked it, but apparently (maybe I'm wrong here?) was required to use something more traditional as well. She is a lurking member here too - so perhaps she will see our discussions. full discussions available to members at wildharvest on . Anyone else have experience with these things? Guest guest
My friend Tina is doing all this and is in the last week of pregnancy. She's had strep b the last two. She says she's come down with the worst case of candida and she's going to stop the teatree. She said she has white spots on her tongue too so she's going to use acidolpholus vaginally, vitamin c, and eat garlic but cut everything else out... She's due on Wed. If you have any more ideas for these last days to boost her immune system let me know. She just feels like maybe she's lost her balance too much at this point....Thanks! Blessings, Nitya ayurveda , " Ysha Oakes " <AyurDoulas wrote: > > Hi Saroj; > Thank you for sharing this. The link offers several options and the > first one is extreme in my opinion, I feel to say. Guest guest
Oh My, Nitya - she sounds like way overdue yes for personalized assessments and lifestyle and dietary guidance to prevent this contining problem, and help determine her best supports. I'm no expert on the strep - the midwives and vaidyas here if listening will have much wiser advice I " m sure. Certainly it will be wise to be prepared postpartum to boost her agni right away too, and t structure more of a care at home and from a distance network. I would be also taking oral strong doses of pre and probiotics, I believe the soil based organizms is broader spectrum. Was she doing the strong tea tree suppositories recently? I really don't know appropriate protocols for this and pregnancy. I don't know if this is any help for her no - wishing her really good care.
