Dear Dr. Bhate and other Esteemed Members;

This letter is in response to private discussion with Dr. Bhate, but

perhaps others will appreciate hearing my late introductions in

response to his deeper statements. I was asking his advice

preannouncing possibility of moving the forum to a more private

" location " . Given convenience and feature factors at least initially,

everyone's input is welcome.

Ysha: > ...a new forum on my website, www.forum.sacredwindow.com.

Shirish: I have no experience managing forums.

Oh, Dear Dr. Bhate, my question was if you had any experience

participating on non- forums, I am wondering if people will as

easily go here to converse. Although, I have considered making the

above link just for student/trainer/editing communications. If it is

easy to be among the moderators at the site to approve/dis

pending messages, with y our time zone difference it would provide

great coverage. But I hesitate to even ask, you are offereing much

more valuable service sharing your knowledge on many locations, so

forget that one please! Maybe Vicky York will assist.

My computer savvy friend here traded home cooked Ayurvedic meals for

setting up the forums above, so my part " managing " is simple. The

sofware basis, " Drupal " is open source, freeware, well maintained and

used avidly by computer " geek " types but very conducive to common

person use and community building.

Whether it also will become subject to spam remains to be seen, but

purpose is possibly as you can see, place to move the

perinatalayurveda forum, and definitely for " in house " kind of

workspace for some of us on team projects towards the ever essential I

totally agree, Whole. Excepting the essential oils open forum, whose

invites are many with little intro to natural medicine, much less

ayurveda, and even there " terrain " approach is frequent reminder

(rest/exercise/water/organic foods, look to whole person and all

systems). These forums will be easy for me/assigns to moderate, will

not have annoying adds and all, nor be so readily found by junk

activity. However not so many special features (files, photos, etc)

at least not yet. Apparently easy even to assign access permissioned

memberships which may become needed, I'll keep it simple first and see.

I feel it is also a reductionish view to look at health problems in

a focussed way, one looses the sight of " whole " when one " focuses " at

a small part. IT is " whole " one should never forget.

regards

dr bhate

Importance of the big picture, including what some call " terrain

medicine " , to you and I both I believe it is even more than that - The

Whole...is part of why I chose to accept the call for work in the

postpartum ayurveda arena. Between this window for spiritual growth

integrating personal desires and needs-transcending awareness, heart,

physiology and service so intimately, and the mutual nourishing of

working with mothers and babies. This work still brings balance to my

tendency to go too much on pieces and the intellect which you have

clearly percieved. For all these reasons this work was consciously

chosen.

It has been deeply spiritually nourishing and integrating, dharmic for

me also in the way which I feel personally, that dharma, artha and

kama have to be under the umbrella of growth to full awareness of the

Unity and Peace beyond understanding. Yes, it is still easy to get

lost in the pieces, compassion for others' sufferings, and it seems

especially we here in the West are either encouraged or required to

undertake the easily disconnecting while seemingly connecting

processes to let others know of our services, when so much moving and

other life changes are around us often. Very gratefully, this

Ayurvedic Work reminds me of the big picture.

I thought to share a bit of how I got to using essential oils -

initial call to learn at a " free lecture " after wonderful outdoor

picnic in mountains...immediately I knew there was some business

associatian and refused, also thought, " I have more important things

to do with my time, (proudly to myself) I have Ayurveda " . Then I

learned more of the speaker's history and integrety and enjoyrd the

exposure. Still setting it apart as pleasure for the more financially

comfortable, I was humbled by two clients a month or so later with

whom my level of ayurveda AND their level of compliance with important

dietary and herbal supports was insufficient. I knew more could be

done quickly and felt compassion for the mothers and babies suffering

so much. So called this woman I had heard speak, Vicki Opfer, and

asked what she would do. 6 sample blends given w/in 12 hours into my

hands from some distance, were central to such rapid turnaround of

their descending depression and bonding issues, and wonderful support

for their ability to do more " wholeness homework " .

I quietly felt, " OK, God, I'll use them! " The clients both wanted

some of their own, and before I knew it I had become a distributor

with side business growing mostly on it's own value, little attention

from my ill-aspected business energy. The side income now supports to

tremendous degree my ability to carry on spreading my chosen work with

the mothers and babies - writing, forums, training developments, and

much under or not paid phone and office consultation work. At this

point in my life between age/somewhat fragile health, moving too often

and spiritual inwardness calling, my real hands on work has mostly

stopped (in client kitchens and abhyangas their " home spa care " ,

hauling massage tables, laundry, etc). My vision for future given in

visit from my master internally is apparently teaching by writing and

speaking. My responsibility to those who purchase essential oils

calls me to give some time there too, oh my and the sometimes

entangling and karma delivering office responsibilities.

Your life since childhood, embraced in understanding/experiencing

wholeness, Vedic and Ayurveda lifestyle, so much different from mine!

It is a great -I'm sure earned as well as chosen blessing. It is

gift to many of us from my master teacher Maharishi has been to

restore self-referral, spiritual balance perspective back into

Ayurveda for many of us, at least to the degree we can remember it.

Certainly, whenever I talk with a client, I'm percieving at same time

how this situation may be related to their ability to understand

self-restoring harmony, peace, to transcend, integration, for growth

of experience of wholeness. Sometimes it simply has to be a quiet

behind the scenes, sometimes blessedly clients want this. My

background being so simple and incomplete in Ayurveda, it seems my

path is to serve with what tools I can, and continue learning in small

ways I can.

The fact that I received any formal training in Ayurveda - about 3-4

weeks plus self study and interning (also trainings with essential

oils) goes against what one astrolager saw for my higher or career

education. Seems I came with purpose to, however I can, cultivate my

own self-referral guidance and wholeness, honor all traditions, and

serve the mothers and children for same in their lilves. And to

learn, like everyone, to grow, into fuller consciousness wherein the

parts do not become lost in the whole!

An ideal life and career I believe is to be socially connected enough

that people know us and choose us by their trust, our reputation, and

their personal connectoin with us, this I envision is a more whole

lifestyle and career unfoldment! As always, your great wealth of

truely wholistic life and ayurvedic medical experience and knowledge,

as well as your ability to communicate across the cultures, is a great

blessing for me and obviously, many.

Namaste;

Ysha
