Dear Janel... Thank you for this thoughtful explanation on " witnessing " . Just would like to pass on another idea for communicating with babies. Besides YL essential oils, I use flower essences when I am doing healing work. I ask the client for permission to connect with their " higher self " and check using a dousing method if I have been given permission. Last week when I was helping the woman from South America with her breastfeeding concerns, she shared with me that vacuum extraction was used at the hospital to birth her baby and also that the baby was taken to weigh, measure, etc. before being given to her. I asked the baby if he gave permission for me to speak with his higher self and I did get a confirmative " yes " . He was sleeping. It's not necessary to apply flower essences to babies orally, so I placed portions of a drop on his forehead after asking his higher self which essences were needed. To Ysha.. I wish I had had Young Living Gentle Baby with me. The ones that I had in my purse weren't appropriate - went out the door grabbing the wrong bag. Would Trauma Life applied to the soles of the baby's feet be appropriate in these situations. You may have already suggested this and I may have missed that post. I checked our notes (oh, how I wish they were indexed!) and I checked the EODR but didn't find anything specific to babies. It just makes sense to me that this would be appropriate use. Had I had some, I could have checked with his higher self. Trauma Life will be on my next order. Thanks so much, Janel, for going into such detail to explain to us more about your work with babies who have experienced trauma.
