Guest guest
Saroj: This is the message I missed. Also just saw this: Janel, I have a question that might sound dumb to you since you're so familiar with this. Why a third party to bear witness? I don't get how that can be healing to the baby's trauma. Seems to me that this is purely between mother and child. What am I missing here? AWESOME question!! And, awesome timing for me. I am so impressed that you refered to what I shared with you as " bearing witness " for the goal of the training that I am preparing IS about HOW to be a SILENT witness for the baby and mother, especially the baby during the entire spectrum preconception (as you are right now for one potential soul) to infancy. Today, as I rake leaves at my parent's country place (clearing away the dead after the abundance and preparing for winter months -- internally as well) I will be thinking about this. Being a silent witness is more for the doula who is at the birth, but the skills of assisting a mother and baby to process is for both birth and postpartum doula. I answer your question more later ---- " how this can be healing to the baby's trauma " but for now, think about your person who is postpartum depleted, depressed, on meds that are now shown to harm the growing fetus. YOU can hold sacred space and witness for this soul, right now, honoring and supporting the journey. So sorry, my dad now needs the phone line --- so I must go. We'll continue. Guest guest
Dear Sisters - As in our deepest meditations, also the deep non-judgemental devotion to life in our heart, the ability to give intention without baggage is easier for the third party. By my understanding, being with a client in this way supports their ability to take clear intention and attention where it naturally needs to go. On the wings of prayer and in the guiding heart and hands of the most Divine impulses of Ma Nature. Is this what you mean, Janel?
