What a wonderful group of presenters! Where will this conference be

held? Yes, I too would love to be in lively communication with these

people! they are doing so much. The effect of consciousness is

central to both what is going on during the postpartum time.

There is also so much discussion about consciousnes as if it is the

same as being educated and truely concerned and aware of the issues.

Yet pure consciousness is beyond thought ... And awareness with all

the BEST intent of the importance of protecting heart values for mom

and baby still fall so short of doing what is needed after childbirth,

because there are so many key biological needs that our culture does

not know what to do about! In fact, our alternative very concerned

mothers, fathers, sisters, midwives, doulas, and health practitioners

way too often are undermining maternal/infant health with the common

ideas of what is needed!

It is similar to the big to do about using honey - as if putting it in

our breads and cookies and even the commercial brekfast cereals is a

good thing becase well, honey is a natural food, right? Cooked honey

is the most difficult toxin to remove from the body, creating damage

coating around the nerves and other areas of the body. How many are

eating cooked honey and believe it is good? It is very sad!

How many are emphasizing good organic salads, avoiding dairy, butter,

sweets, salt, cooked foods to be better postpartum mothers ... and

creating often severe colic and depression in the process? It is VERY

sad ...

Forgive me for unloading a bit. The role of pure awareness and

heartful childbearing is being very well represented these days. But

the appropriate prescriptive lifestyle for postpartum healthy

rejuvenation and happy babies and mothers is not, from what I can

tell. I hope the few AyurDoulas in this country will begin to attend

these conferences and share what they know. Sonya, are you listening ? ')

The very happy news is whatever the causes, there are such good

results observing the ayurvedic guidelines. And the relationship of

Ayurveda and Veda is one of wonderful support.

Veda is pure knowldege, that which we spontaneously, naturally know

when we are Awake, living in Pure Consciousness, a state of awareness

where there is total valuation of Life in every moment, peace beyond

understanding, and the beginning of being able to live from our

fullest potential.

Ayurveda is prescriptive knowledge, the traditions and practices that

restore the biologica memory of self-restoring wholeness. By any

name, it is the healing modalities, and the timely advice which works,

whether a hug or herb or hot cup of tea or the rarely needed crisis

medicines and surgery... The prescription which is needed when the

stressors, work, lifestyle factors, whatever kinks in the physiology -

when these have gotten in the way of the experience of natural pure

awareness and spontaneous internal biological intelligence and

external effortless loving right action.

Janel, What do you know about the approaches being represented at the

postpartum depresson panel? I am so concerned about the continued use

of antidepressants, and the round about methods including so much

psychology used at this time. It is so unnecessary for the VAST VAST

majority of cases from an Ayurvedic perspective.

Is anyone going to attend Suzanne Arms' camp in Colorado end

July/beginning of August? See www.birthingthefuture.org. Maybe there

are some spaces left. I'm tempted to enjoy that also great networking

opportunity.

Thanks to all for sharing this great info and community linking.
