Guest guest
Hi Sonya; Hopefully you received my call in answer? Here's a bit more, and I'll repeat for those following this discussion. It sounds like the usual care is in place by what I know, unless the sitz herbs might be tweaked. Also, I've seen some midwives strong to encourage those willing, to spend as much time bare-tushed as possible, alowing more air and possibly sunlight contact; this would help a lot. I would be suggesting the Young Living Claraderm spray, at least go through one bottle and if still needing more support, probably the other measures or the lavender will do it. THis product has many healing eoils in it including lavender and helichrysum and is quite clean of any chemical pollutants. Dr. Gary Young (founder of the Young Living EOils company) designed it for his wife at 52 or maybe with her second baby it was at 56. Yes I would use the lavender oil front end also because if the tears were deep, a stronger application of the essential oil will speed the body's supports for tissue integration and healing; although she needs to be explained that, like iodine, any organic/therapeutic grade essential oil has some antimicrobial and oxgenating support and will often sting a bit with bacterial dieoff. BUT, lavender is a mild analgesic, as well as very good for healing damaged tissues, which helps balance the experience. I would use it on myself neet (straight), and if the (temporary) sting bothered, I'd just have any carrier/massage oil on hand for a little dilution (NOT WATER, it is the moisture which enhances the sting possiblity, driving the oil to move in due to the oil/water non-mix factor). We do not have formal research data on these recs, so I can only say, what I would do, even when based upon experience). You will I'm sure be interested to know that some use lavender vaginally for sexual enhancement. It is a bit intense, but certainly not damaging! And Others use it vaginally as part of protocols for cervical displasia, and other issues. The oil of choice for those who can afford it is hellichrysum, which is the BEST for healing tissues including nerve, and for both scar tissue and pain (among many other great virtues). Lavender has a good dose of the key bioconstituent for supporting scar healing (I didn't retain the name, it is on one of my recent sources) I help some of my postpartum C- section clients who want the best to order their own for consistent use. My experience with helichrysum is very individually specific in terms of how long it takes to effect the healing, although Vicki Opfer reports it stops intense bleeding on contact when there is a wound. Perinatally, we have other herbs/tinctures that do this, but for say, menopausal heavy bleeding, they don't work. I used helichrysum vaginally along with frankincense, myrrh and a blend Immupower to dissolve early stage cervical cancer. Felt great! How is she doing? It has been several days since your call ... Ysha (Martha) >I have a client who has bad tears on her perineum she had the baby 2 weeks ago and still is uncomfortable. No foul smell and no itching. She is laying pretty low and not doing too much. Question is what kind of essential oil is good for tears and can it be applied topically? Any other recommendations? She is doing sitz baths and is using herbs for sitz baths and peribottle
