Guest guest
Dear Charlotte and all; Thanks for taking the time for such a great intro, and a warm welcome to you! I'd like to further the intro and draw attention for all that Charlotte's study and AyurDoula practice focuses on labor and delivery work, something I have not had much opportunty to weave into my studies! Hopefully the experience of the few women I know of with such experience will be able to offer us continuing education in the ayruvedic ways for pregnancy and birth before long. Charlotte, if you make it up this way to Iowa, we certainly can do some exchanging! Charlotte, for your information many of the group members have little or no familiarity with ayurveda for women around childbirth, and there are some with various degrees of training and practice, including midwives, nurses, doulas, and other ayurvedic practitioners. Many of the AyurDoulas I know of have not taken the time to join our little group - hopefully they will at some point! But I expect you will find it of value ... Thank you for joining! This is the first hmm, maybe not first exposure, you know how many treasures of information are in our notes we have forgotten, anyway first getting it about ashoka for grief. Please tell more if you know! I know it for tonic to the uterus, excellent for repeated miscarriage especially around high pitta as it is both so bitter and astringent, and with the uterine specificity certainly helps direct other herbs in a formula to address the pelvic organs. Warm REgards; Ysha (Martha)
