Re: I'm a prenatal and birth therapist

Hi, Martha. Thanks for your supportive words -- I really appreciate

it. Thanks for the introduction. YEAH, the site is a labor of love.

My bias toward most chiro, cst, and osteopathic work -- and anything

to " get rid of " colic is that it is just not as effective UNLESS we

recognize and acknowledge the EXPERIENCE that causes the physical

restriction. I bet your work does that more than most. Most women and

babies are so abandoned in their postnatal period. I wrote most of my

articles over two years ago and they need to be reorganzied. The

epidual page is a mess right now as a result of my revision. One thing

I didn't include yet in the colic page -- i think -- is about how the

Vagus Nerve, cranial nerve intervates the heart and abdomen which

passes from the cranium to the body near base of scull. When the head

is manhandled or baby is birthed over the sacrum of a supine mom, the

nerve can be affected. The intestines are FULL of nerves called Colic

nerves and so a crimped nerve will be as effective as watering your

garden with a bent water hose. And they say, they don't know what

causes it ---?????????

Yeah, your site is at the top of my list ......your previous homepage

narrative, whatever it said, brought up grief and loss for what me and

my babies didn't experience. At this point in my life and with

knowledge of birth, what this brought was a new awareness, new healing.

As for resources, I have made an alphabetic list of topics that I want

to begin to fill in with resources. It grew to an enormous size.

On to your other message.....thanks again, Martha. I so appreciate the

sisterhood in birth I have found via the internet. Janel

Janel, I'm really excited going through your site. What an amazing

labor of love. Did you write all those articles you have, all that

info every parent should know, etc? LOTS of work, I know! You are

awesome, girl. I'm looking forward to following up and reading in

more depth the colic work. I know from my client experience we have

awesome results both preventing and reversing colic, but I also know

there are times ... now I understand more what I understood briefly

and did not give enough realization to. The ones who were'nt

responding well enough, if they saw a gifted craniosaccral or polarity

specialist with infants, or baby chiropracter that's when the symptoms

did the quantum shift.

Yes, we've lots to share. And I want to introduce you to Corinna

Schmidt, , www.maharani.us. Telephone (805)452-2526. who also does

some of the work I do along with being a trainer in ayurvedic massage

at kanyakumari in Wisconsin, to connect with you. She lives in Santa

Barbara and we were just talking about you today :) and all your

wonderful connections. This page of yours here ... (wow, you put

Sacred Window at the top of the list!)

http://www.infantparenthealing.com/knowmore/websites.htm is the

resource collection I've been missing and wanting. I'm really looking

forward to seeing more cross pollinaton and cross- support for our

mothers and babies best support, and for our doulas best

trainings/advanced trainings. They should have CEUs to last them for

years with us, eh?

Love,

Martha

I'm a prenatal and birth therapist

Thanks for your wonderful work. I found your site today and was very

touched....to tears. I am always amazed at the new levels of healing

from the wounding from my births - 30, 27, 22, and 11 years ago. You

can visit my current site at www.infantparenthealing.com. It is being

totally revised soon.
