Guest guest
Martha, I was looking into the different herbs that are safe to take wondering if maybe we could come up with a formula and come up with a well rounded concoction. I will email later with my ideas. I also don't know how much to use. Also, I am taking the birth doula training through CAPPA this weekend. I was talking to some of the women taking the course who want to do postpartum doula training; you may be getting some inquiries about the Ayurdoula program coming up. I am completely exhausted from the class it's a lot of info to absorb. I am feeling better not 100% yet. I will get back to you on the herbs. Namaste! Martha Hello Sacred Window: I am delivering on or around Feb 12 in Brooklyn New York and very interested in a Ayurdoula to make ayurvedic foods and massages for me. Is this possible and what are the prices? Thank you saira ______________________ ______________________ Message: 2 Fri, 13 Jan 2006 20:47:09 -0000 " Martha Oakes " <martha New Members notes Please join me in welcoming 4 new members, including 2 men in the Ayurvedic field interested in active discussions. One of the women has expressed her desire for support for Ayurveda on repeated miscarriages. I beleive I have recently posted on the subject and you may find in the archives. If not, we will carry on, please share your experiences and questions. One of the new members is very active vegan, which will spark some interesting conversation back and forth on alternatives to ayurvedic dairy recommendations, as well as perhaps possible reconsiderations during the 4 trimesters? In this regard you may want to visit the article on the Ayurvedic approach to Milk at www.sacredwindow.com before we begin this discussion - Thanks! Thyroid article is posted in the perinatal supports/supplements folder (see files to the left). During the PK, you generally discontinue all non critical supplements. If thyroid is important, you would continue that. We can schedule after next Tuesday if you still wish to; please call 641-472-1695. Trikatu can be used, if needed mahasudarshan, even tikta and others, just be sure to buffer them for their vata increasing and cooling properties. I beleive you have a set of notes from the advanced/safe postpartum herbal class you might want to review. Yes, Sharon Thomas called and was able to do the herbs. Her rate for 6 weeks' supply including shipping of 3 (she did not have good access to Dashmool) is $150. Well packed and labeled. Thanks for checking in. I hope your flu and cough have finallyl cleared? Wishing you Many Blessings! While playing at a friends' house today, Joshua found the small white cup that fits the top of their steam humidifier. The one they put ess. oils in. I didn't connect that was what it was for at least an hour....he had been carrying it around the house (yes walking now full steam ahead!) and possibly, probably putting it in his mouth. They said it was dry but I smelled peppermint and eucalyptus strongly on him and myself. No eye or other mucous membrane irritation that I could see. Washed hands and wiped his face immediately when we figured it out. However I am concerned his little liver now must detox any oils he absorbed or ingested. I was thinking of using some gentle herbs like dandelion & milk thistle, and perhaps some ghee in the diet? Thanks so much! Love, Adrienne ______________________ ______________________ ------
