Guest guest
Sonya; This family is not willing to pay even a reduced rate package rate, but they will pay a good doula rate I believe and I spoke at length with your doula friend there who is now encouraged to do some supportive warm oil applications on her client rather than have them give up. They are not wanting cooking, they have family coming over from India next week. The elder grandmother is just not fit to be bending over with any massage. So the birth doula is also very inspired to take the training in Boulder in May! I explained, among other things, the value of learning the full mothers ayurvedic home spa care both for best results and for duplicatable, professional standards of care and the AyurDoula reputation. In the same vein I have written the woman you taught the massage to briefly from Oregon, and the woman now in Hawaii Tovia gave partial instruction to. In the line of this discussion, Kanyakumari school of ayurveda has found that to offer individual modules of the training is not suitable for good professionalism or student commitment ... so they sign folks up for their ayurvedic classes for the whole semester or year. I understand more Saraswati's guidance to do the sema at RMIYA in Boulder now. It is such a dance - we want to offer what care we can NOW is when it is needed for the moms. But if doulas are calling themselves AyurDoulas and not knowing how they are not providing the care this stands for, it does not serve.
