Guest guest
Martha or anyone, Can someone recommend safe choices for heartburn during pregancy besides a pitta friendly diet. I am looking for someone who would like to take an herbal or e-oils for it. Avipattikar is something I was thinking of but, I dont know its safety for pregnancy. Thanks! Guest guest
Avipatikar churna is very gentle and safe, and takes very little room in the tummy Maybe a teaspoon mixed in a little warm water before meals 1/2 hour would be ideal. I have also seen this interesting discussion of taking a weak acid such as lemon - or natural apple cider vinegar. It sounds odd, but works very well. Somehow heartburn is sometimes associated oddly with insufficient stomach juices or thin stomach mucosa, I'm nt sure which and would love it properly explained. We have two gentlemen I would like to welcome to the group and invite them to introduce themselves and their background and interest. Namaste! Guest guest
Hi LInda and All; Here's a brief ayurveda commentary on eoils chosen - with the weather cooling off, if you are feeling chilled it is wise to minimize the cooling oils such as peppermint and spearmint. The Young Living blends of ditone, endoflex and juvaflex all taste (to me) quite good a drop or two in a litre of drinking water. Lemon as well. The ginger oil is surprisingly mellow, not so sharp as one would expect from concentrated oil of ginger. Martha > The oils listed for heartburn are: > SINGLES: Peppermint, ginger, spearmint, lemon > BLENDS: Di-Tone, EndoFlex, JuvaFlex, JuvaCleanse
