Guest guest
Thank you Kalavity for coming!! And for your support!!! It was such a pleasure to meet you and talk to you. I look forward to spending time with you again. I am very interested in creating a gathering of women along with Susan and Ria who was one of the pregnant mamas. Susan knows a place we may be able to use for free and sounds like a hot spot for people with similar interests as ours. Thank you for the beautiful recap of the evening. I deeply enjoyed the event and look forward to organizing another one. I hope you are recovering from your big weekend and Monday night! I really enjoyed the gathering of women and the nice exchange we all had. I am so happy to have met you, Martha and Terra. I would like to share a little recap of the Ayurvedic Perinatal Open House that was held at the Solstice Institute in Boulder, Colorado, on Monday evening for those who were not able to attend. It was so nice that I want to encourage everyone to accept the gift of meeting Martha, her students and colleagues whenever the opportunity presents itself. The evening began with doulas, students, pregnant mamas and other interested ladies chatting, arranging flowers and anticipating Martha's arrival. Unless one knew her already, they might not know immediately when she entered the room because of her graceful, quiet and humble presence. Bringing with her the beautifully prepared Ayurvedic postpartum foods and arranging them on the table along with the bounty Sonya prepared, she encouraged everyone to partake and began serving her guests. Wisdom and affection flowed from her naturally and everyone was happy to receive the education and care she gave us. As we ate the *warm, wet and sweet* foods, Martha, Terra and Sonya explained the Ayurvedic components of each preparation and how they affected the postpartum woman. Several questions were raised and addressed. There was much humor, depth and spiritual connection as well as positive energy toward the three pregnant women present. Universal principles and individual attention are the hallmark of any authentic and effective service/practice and they were in abundance at this gathering! Toward the end of the evening, we discussed the possibility of beginning an ongoing gathering that would support and inform women who wanted to continue and broaden the Ayurvedic wisdom and influence in their family life. I hope others will be able to visit and study with Martha and her students and I can't wait to get together with Sonya again! Thank you for a lovely evening. Sincerely, Kalavati
