Guest guest
Namaste everyone, Sorry, I lurked for so long with out a proper intro... My name is Rasa Vilasini and I live in Ohio. I am a birth doula and an apprenticing midwife (CPM). I have no training in Ayurveda but would love to get some formal training someday... maybe a distance learning program? I am a little familiar with some basic ayurvedic teachings. I study some parts of the Vedas. My husband is also from India and so some Vedic health care naturally comes through his family. Many of the women I work with are strict vegetations (no meat, fish, chicken, or eggs, they do use milk products) due to their Spiritual commitments, yogic (Bhakti) practices and beliefs. These practices are based on the Vedas. So since I have a practice that serves these women I would like to learn everything I can about Ayurveda, so I can better serve/facilitate them. I am interested in the use of Ayurveda during pregnancy and childbirth. I really like the way Ayurvedic healing to includes all aspects of natural healing, nutrition, herbs, aromatherapy, massage, etc, etc. although the Vedas are very vast and sometimes very complex. I am very excited about this group and I am looking forward to learning as much as I can here and sharing what I can too. Take care, Your aspiring servant, Rasa Vilasini d.d.
