Guest guest
Martha, So our many questions have supplied answers. We found a pediatrician who diagnosed Charlie with RAD. Reactive Airway Disease. Allergies that trigger the bronchi to close up. The inflammation in his lungs was preventing his body from being able to get into a deep sleep. His body would startle him awake. So we could then begin to look for causes. Our new car? The dog? The old carpet? Well an attempt to drive to CO stopped the use of the new car because Charlie had a reaction after an extended period of time in the car. So when you don't go on vacation what else do you do? Pull up carpets, right? Charlie's room was the first... two foot circle of black mold in the carpet padding right under his bed! Everyday since he has been better. He still has small reactions to changes in weather, the smell of new synthetics and perfumes and such but smaller more controllable reactions. We purchased a air filter that is both a hepa and an ionic filter which doesn't produce ozone! Charlie can now sleep comfortably with good clean air. He immediately began sleeping longer hours. We have even has a two 6 hour stretches. Began eating solids. Stretched out nursings. We feel so blessed to have found our cause and feel relieved. Blessings!
