Guest guest
Hi All; Please forgive my site hostess learnings, it appears your mailbox will be loaded with messages tonight from perinatalayurveda . I didn't realize! But I have uploaded several commonly useful files for easy access and sharing. Please feel free to invite clients or friends to look at them! You can invite them easily from the group homepage, just check out a few of those buttons on the sidebar! Here is a current experience you may be interested to hear about. Moms don't know they have problems we can help with! I Just sold a copy of my handbook to my organic produce man; his wife's daughter just had her 4th and at 1 week already having problems. I talked with him a while and asked a few questions (is she eating much raw foods, support system, etc) before this came up, and was reminded how much ignorance there is even about what might be called postpartum problems we can easily help with, among extended family as well as with the mothers themselves. I mentioned 42 days for 42 year ability to mother and partner . . . bingo! " they are already having problemms " he said; " I'll give it as a gift " (he had the $10 out of his pocket before I realized I didn't have to bargain down from the retail price, and we had just talked about his financial challenges!). " Maybe (the grandmother) should read it first, I think there are already some expectations and pressures of things to do coming from her " , he also said, after I mentioned she shouldn't cook for 5 weeks. *grin*, that usually gets some attention. By the way, I had talked with her 2 days ago while at the midwife's office and she claimed she is fine, just really tired. Thinks she has it down, should, after 4, she indicated. She welcomes an at home infant massage instruction by a student when one of you is ready here in High Springs, FL. Addictive issues complicate the case quite possibly and in terms of willingness to even look at what she is being given, or to call, but if she does, SAroj, are you interested in getting some of your needed practice mother's massage et al in? I'll team with you on some keys, esp the counseling. Gaura Priya, I'm inviting you in on possible cooking/counseling practice or a team effort, if she is happy with a first run and her partner sees ($)value of some doula services. I find people are used to being asked about new moms and babies, and if you have a wise angle of questioning (and explaining, *grin*) after a few, it may easily give you opportunity to meet with and truly serve a new client. As students, it is that much easier to introduce yourself to a community that way with some of your practice reduced rates or freebies. You are so much needed! Many blessings in your work, Martha Post message: ayurveda Subscribe: ayurveda- Un: ayurveda-
