Guest guest
Christopher and others who are having considerable difficulty in getting IBD under control. There has been a lot of discussion about parasites on this board, but I don't recall any mention of Neem as a possible treatment for this problem. Neem is an ancient ayurvedic herbal treatment for parasites and other ailments that apparently arose in India. I first became aquatinted with Neem as a control for weevils and ants. At the plant where we make organic products we had some wheat in plastic bags which became infested with weevils. We put 2 or 3 Neem leaves in the bag and resealed it. The weevils became extremely agitated and began to move away from the leaves. In a very short time all weevils were dead, in a corner of the bag most distant from the leaves. We tried the same thing later with some sweet stuff infested with ants. Those ants that were able to cut holes in the bag escaped. Those that didn't were all dead. My wife still bakes bread, and we used to keep the flour in the refrigerator. Now we keep the flour and meal in the pantry with Neem leaves in each container. I went into all this just to show that Neem will kill bugs. What it really does to intestinal parasites, I have no way of knowing. I do know that when I was fighting my CD in the first year or so, Neem was one of a handful of supplements I took every day along with GSE, colostrum, olive leaf extract, etc., etc. After 18 months of this and SCD, I achieved remission. Something worked. Hallelujah !!
