I've used tea tree oil also - apply once or twice a day. In the process, it breaks down your skin. Doesn't hurt, and wasn't worth continuing for me. When I've used pau d'arco or green black walnut hull tincture internally for other purposes, my toenail fungus decreased a lot. Colloidal silver seems to do that also. I suppose you could apply any of them to your skin also. Meg
Guest guest
<<>Does anyone here have a good remedy for >nail or foot fungus without getting into drugs? >J Tea tree oil Julie>> I've heard that tea tree oil is good. Nail and foot fungus is carried in the bloodstream which topical applications do not get to. If you go to an MD to get to this, they will give you oral meds that can potentially damage the liver. I've found that long term eating of raw garlic gets it too (while detoxing the liver), but you have many variables. The bloodstream, your clothing, bedding, shoes, other family members with the same fungus, etc. It takes a many pronged attach to really eradicate it. This fungus will live for several days/months in shoes and clothing. I've had mine go away from committed eating of raw garlic, then return after I stop the garlic, perhaps because I didn't kill it in my shoes. Anyway, the real cure has to come from several directions. Jay

Guest guest
Joan, Anyone with nail of foot fungus also has it systemically, in the bloodsteam. You need to find and get to an integrative physician - for Candida. Perhaps we can help find you one. Let us know where you're located. Guest guest
East Park Research makes a topical solution that has olive leaf extract, and ionic silver. The silver accumulates in the nail bed and prevents further fungal growth while the infected nail slowly grows out. I've had some luck using this in combination with tea tree oil on a really resistant nail infection.
