breastfeeding question from a friend

A friend sent me the question below. As I have no answers

here, I thought I'd pass it on to this list to see if anyone has any

thoughts on the matter.

'Prescription for Nutritional Healing', 2000 has a detailed section on

breast feeding problems. These problems are not inherant to humans they are

related to nutritional and environmental issues.

I think it's because animals don't eat junk, for one

thing. They eat natural foods. Still, there are

times when animals *can't* feed their young and the

young do die (or the mothers eat them, as mice do, for

example). In animals that are community oriented,

some young will be fed by other mothers in the group

(the way it is done in many human tribal communities).
