Hi,

I just joined the group. I am seeking help for my son. He's been diagnosed

with failure to thrive and cerebral palsy. His doc wants to put a feeding tube

in him and I just know there has to be a better way to help him gain weight. If

anyone can help, please email me.

Julie,

Check out the following site:

They are world leaders in the individualized treatment of childhood orders

(autism spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD). They use nutritional therapy. They

could help your son thrive without a doubt.

hi Julie,

What does he currently eat ?

I am using dietary intervention on my son who is ASD - many of his

peers ( and increasingly children with downs and cp) are showing gut

damage which affects their behaviour as well as their weight ,

appearence and general well being . If he is selective or restrictive

in his food choices this is sometimes a big clue !

Regards

Deborah

Dear Julie,

Could you tell us how old your son is?

I have not forgotten your question and have been thinking about it,

but more information might help.

kind regards,

Bovine colostrum? I remember selling in the health

food store I worked in, but I've never known what it

was used for (I knew more about the herbs). I would

think human colostrum would do wonders, but I don't

think it would be too easy to get.

He is very selective of what he eats. He hates

vegetables and most meat, except chicken and ham (I

haven't tried fish because of the mercury). He loves

all fruit (especially blueberries), but sometimes not

bananas. He likes sweet potatoes and corn. He likes

pasta and cheese and ice cream, but doesn't tolerate

milk. He seems to be a carb kinda kid. :-)
