Dear Lookie,

In most cases, the most likely cause is pharmacuetical medicines.

If you take any meds, you should research them carefully. The doctors

will not usually tell the patients about this side effect and will

even deny it is possible.

It is quite common with most benzodiazapines, although it was hidden

from the public for many years and still is by many doctors.

If it is a medication, you might consider getting off it, but do nor

stop any medication abruptly. It can be quite a serious matter

stopping any medication and must be done in a certain manner.

good luck,

Frank

I started experiencing short term memory loss at age 30. I believe that in my

case it can be attributed to nutritional deficiencies and/or mercury and

nickel toxicity. Depression was my first diagnosis. I'm grateful that I was

able to find the real problem.

I developed short term memory loss and foggy thinking when I was 46 then

diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I am a 117 pound vegetarian with a treadmill

so I thought it would never happen to me but the genes got me anyway. Donna

When you say you are a vegetarian, does that mean you eat

just green vegetables? Or do you eat grains, beans, & flour also?

After being diagnosed as a type II diabetic I have been doing lots of

reading, and have come to the conclusion that the primary cause of

diabetes is not genetic, but dietary reliance on grains in a

so-called " healthy " diet.

I have also heard that dairy contributes. I don't

remember the scientific specifics, but something about

it blocking insulin's ability to get into the cells.

Type 1 is an insulin deficiency, while Type 2 is an

insulin inefficiency - right? So you possess the

ability to produce it, and already have it, but need

your body to access it.

I do not take pharmaceutical drugs and I am not depressed. I have been tested

for diabetes and other insulin/sugar issues and none there. I love the

discussion though and I am sure we all will learn something.

Hello

I think to some extent we all have short term memory

losses e.g you go upstairs for something and have to

come back down to remember what you went up for and

the name of the restaurant may have popped back into

your head when you were not racking your brains trying

to think of it but if it more than that you could try

some ginko biloba as this increases blood supply to

the brain or you could check if you have a lot of

electro magnetic waves near to you as high E M waves

disrupts the brains of susceptible people. The worst

offenders are power lines and mobile phone attennas. I

belong to another list and a guy there had memory loss

and fuzzy heads making it difficult to think. He

researched a lot and then bought a device to test the

electro magnetic waves in his flat. They were very

high and since he has moved back to his parents who

live in the country his brain fogs have cleared and

his memory has returned . Hope this may help.

Hi Alobar, before I was diagnosed I did eat quite a bit of carbohydrate. I

just love pasta so you may have a point. I have cut down significantly on my

carbs and it seems to work well. Cashews and other nuts have helped a lot.

When you say grains do you mean pasta or something like oatmeal? Donna

This is the answer Ed sent me. He has a good website

with some articles on electrosmog. If you want to look

it up itis www.newtreatments.org.

Hi Chris,

I used the HF-Detektor II Profi from Aaronia AG

Germany.

You can order online from their website:

http://www.aaronia.de/

There is a button on the left for the English version

of their site..

The price $ 150.00 exclusive shipping costs..

This is still a lot of money, but it has been tested

very well and it's

a *lot* cheaper than most other devices, which are

often more than

$1,000..

I hope this helps,
