Guest guest
Hi, I am new on this list and would like to know if anyone here as dealt with these issues and could lend some advice and insight. I am a 32 year old woman with premenopausal symptoms. I have not had a menstrual cycle in a year and a half. I have tried numerous alternative therapies with no complete success. I am in better condition than I was a year ago but still not back to normal. I've recently come to learn that I most likely have a yeast problem and maybe this is the cause of the other problems as well. I've started on a yeast fighting program and still have some things to install in the regimen before I feel I'm tackeling it full force. Anyways, since I found this group and I thought I would throw it out there and see if anyone can give me some more insight. Thanks in advance! Guest guest
Have the doctors checked your prolactin level? I was diagnosed as premenopausal at 37 and went a year and half without periods as well. I won t go into the whole story because it is too long, but at my insistence the doctor did further tests to make sure I absolutely could not get pregnant if they put me on hormone replacement. The resulting test showed an elevated prolactin level and MRI showed a pituitary tumor. I am now 51 and having regular periods again. Lots of yucky stuff went on in between, but I credit the mulitple liver cleanses with my return to hormone balance. Just my 2 cents. Guest guest
Yes, my prolactin level was also elevated. I've had and MRI and no tumor or anything unusual was found. I also nursed my daughter for a extended period of time and I initially just thought that was the reason for the premenopausal symptoms. As you may know, Prolactin regulates the mammary glands. However, since it has been so long, going on 2 years now, I no longer think that was the case. What else did you do? If you don't mind sharing. I've done cleanses, taken vitamin therapy, changed my diet, taken herbs and several other things as well. I am better but still not there completely. I now feel maybe the yeast issue is throwing my body out of balance. I think yeast has been an issue for me for a while but I never understood the seriousness of it. I'm not sure how much it can affect the menstrual cycle but I've read that it can. I'm going to start using kefir and other yeast controlling regimens to see if this will help. Thanks for responding.
