Guest guest
Thank you for a very enlightening forum. I hope someone could be of help to someone who is suffering. Breast milk is widely known as the best food for a newborn. However, there is strong anecdotal evidence for its use in helping adults, due to nutrients not found elsewhere. I know someone who is extremely ill, in a life threatening situation, due to an inability to absorb properly. Many therapies have been tried, without success. I strongly feel breast milk could be very beneficial for this individual. This is strictly for medical reasons, nothing more. The problem is that although breast milk banks are available now to both mothers of newborns and adults, a doctor's order is necessary to obtain the milk. Therein lies the problem. This person is unable to make his argument to try breastmilk as a healing agent. This is extremely frustrating and disheartening. I feel that breastmilk could be a potential lifesaver for this individual. This is a very serious and real situation. Any concrete help would be appreciated. Thank you. Guest guest
Perhaps they could try Colostrum. That is fairly easy to find and is one of the primary beneficial components of breast milk. Guest guest
---http://www.meyenberg.com On a world-wide basis, there are more people who drink the milk of goats than any other single animal. The increased digestibility of protein is of importance to infant diets (both human and animal), as well as to *invalid* and **convalescent** diets. Goat milk has a more easily digestible fat and protein content than cow milk. Furthermore, glycerol ethers are much higher in goat than in cowmilk, which appears to be important for the nutrition of the nursing newborn. Goat milk… is higher in minerals, calcium, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, chlorine and manganese; but lower in sodium, iron, sulphur, zinc and molybdenum. Another significant difference from cow milk is the higher amount of shorter-chain fatty acids in the milk fat of goats. The increased digestibility of protein is of importance to infant diets (both human and animal), as well as to invalid and convalescent diets. Meyenberg goat products are superior to Colostrum, as it is rampant with rBGH, hormones and antibiotics! JoAnn Guest angelprincessjo Friendsforhealthnaturally http://www.geocities.com/mrsjoguest/AIM.html http://www.geocities.com/mrsjoguest/classic_tan.html The " natural homogenization " of goat milk is from a human health standpoint, much better than the mechanically homogenized cow milk product. It appears that when fat globules are forcibly broken up by mechanical means, it allows an enzyme associated with milk fat, known as " xanthine oxidase " to become free and penetrate the intestinal wall. Once xanthine oxidase gets through the intestinal wall and into the bloodstream, it is capable of creating scar damage to the heart and arteries, which in turn may stimulate the body to release cholesterol into the blood in an attempt to lay a protective fatty material on the scarred areas. This can lead to arteriosclerosis. It should be noted that this effect is not a problem with natural (unhomogenized) cow milk. In unhomogenized milk this enzyme is normally excreted from the body without much absorption. Goat milk also has lower contents of orotic acid which can be significant in the prevention of fatty liver syndrome.
