Guest guest
What is a psi?? sharon - Wayne Fugitt Gettingwell Sunday, October 13, 2002 9:28 PM High Blood Pressure ( just like the Cholesterol Fraud ) Evening Morton, > High Blood Pressure -- Hearts Working too hard. >I would like it if you/someone can clear up something for me regarding >high/low blood pressure. You may recall what our friend Charles Weber said about blood pressure on this list. He said that high blood pressure did not hurt very much because the blood vessels are 10 times as strong as they need to be. Consider this.............. a blood pressure reading is 150 instead of 130. The unit, mmHg is equal to .02 psi. So...... we have a 20 mmHG reading that would worry some people to death. 20 mmHG X .02 psi = .4 psi ................ Glory BE ! Who would take a drug for .4 psi ? Guess how many people are damaging them selves beyond repair for .4 psi. Even if..... the reading is 50 mmHg too high. That is ONE WHOLE PSI too high. Just like the cholesterol fraud, and many other frauds, I believe the blood pressure crap is all one big fraud. Think about how many billions of dollars have been made on the ONE lowly PSI. In addition, I have searched and searched to find out who and when the blood pressure standards and normals were established. I have found nothing. If we find it, likely it was set by another corrupt medical establishment. I realize I did not answer your question. <grin> Now, you have two questions to be answered. Guest guest
Wayne I previously asked this question about increased blood pressure. It seems to me, that the extent of pressure on the artery itself, is far less important, especially for people over 50 years of age, than the issue of the connection between elevated blood pressure, and the danger that it also increases the possibility of a heart attack or stroke. Does an increase in blood pressure, also increase the danger of a heart attack or stroke? - " shar2 " <shar2 Friday, October 18, 2002 6:07 AM Re: Wayne?^^High Blood Pressure ( just like the Cholesterol Fraud ) > What is a psi?? > sharon > - > Wayne Fugitt > Gettingwell > Sunday, October 13, 2002 9:28 PM > High Blood Pressure ( just like the Cholesterol Fraud ) > > > Evening Morton, > > > High Blood Pressure -- Hearts Working too hard. > > > >I would like it if you/someone can clear up something for me regarding > >high/low blood pressure. > > You may recall what our friend Charles Weber said about blood pressure > on this list. > > He said that high blood pressure did not hurt very much because the blood > vessels are 10 times as strong as they need to be. > > Consider this.............. a blood pressure reading is 150 instead of 130. > > The unit, mmHg is equal to .02 psi. Guest guest
Evening John, Yes, I remember the first message and have been meaning to reply to one, possibly the seoncd one. >>Does an increase in >blood pressure, also increase the danger of a heart attack or stroke? Nearly everyone and every source says it does, Yet, I don't believe it. I believe there is something about blood pressure that does not meet the eye, or else maybe these facts have been concealed from us. I will reply to the older message. Guest guest
Dear John, High blood pressure can increase the danger of a those strokes caused by blood vessels in the brain rupturing in people with weakened vessels. It is important to the body to keep blood pressure high enough. Among other reasons is the necessity to force fluid through the glomeruli of the kidneys. Several mechanisms have evolved to increase blood pressure if there is blood loss from injury, if there is loss of electrolytes, if the heart becomes weak from poison or deficiencies, or if there is local dilation of vessels because of increased need of blood by a particular organ. Usually the systems work pretty good. It is possible that high blood pressure can increase the chance of a heart attack by forcing a poorly nourished heart to pump harder than it should have to. However it is poor nourishment that is the primary problem. In the old days it was probably the " wet " heart disease of beri- beri that totaled most people from heart disease, a vitamin B-1 deficiency. These days I suspect that most people who have heart attacks have them because of a potassium deficiency. When vitamin B-1 is deficient as well as potassium, the heart cells do not die. An excess of phosphate can also accentuate a potassium deficiency, say from soft drinks. A magnesium deficiency can interfere with potassium absorption or retention. Things can get pretty complicated. Your only real chance is to eat no food processed by the criminally incompetent food processors, eat mostly vegetables, do not boil them yourself, get plenty of exercise, vitamin D supplements if you work inside (and maybe anyway), and keep your life insurance payments current. As for cholesterol, I suspect that most of that problem these days is from a copper deficiency. To see how to inrease copper in food see; http://members.tripod.com/~charles_W/copper3.html Sincerely, Charles Weber-
