Guest guest
Evening Morton, > High Blood Pressure -- Hearts Working too hard. >I would like it if you/someone can clear up something for me regarding >high/low blood pressure. You may recall what our friend Charles Weber said about blood pressure on this list. He said that high blood pressure did not hurt very much because the blood vessels are 10 times as strong as they need to be. Consider this.............. a blood pressure reading is 150 instead of 130. The unit, mmHg is equal to .02 psi. So...... we have a 20 mmHG reading that would worry some people to death. 20 mmHG X .02 psi = .4 psi ................ Glory BE ! Who would take a drug for .4 psi ? Guess how many people are damaging them selves beyond repair for .4 psi. Even if..... the reading is 50 mmHg too high. That is ONE WHOLE PSI too high. Just like the cholesterol fraud, and many other frauds, I believe the blood pressure crap is all one big fraud. Think about how many billions of dollars have been made on the ONE lowly PSI. In addition, I have searched and searched to find out who and when the blood pressure standards and normals were established. I have found nothing. If we find it, likely it was set by another corrupt medical establishment. I realize I did not answer your question. <grin> Now, you have two questions to be answered. Guest guest
Wayne I've had similar thoughts and suspicions. But, there's one more consideration that needs to be cleared up. Aside from the problem created for the " blood vessels themselves " by increased blood pressure (which, I agree, could very easily be being overstated for obvious reasons), there's the problem, that increased blood pressures may raise the risk of a stroke or heart attack, by placing a continually greater burden on " clogged " arteries. The danger is not that the arteries will not be able to withstand the pressure, but that increased demands for oxygen and blood flow, from heart and brain, cannot be met, because the arteries are congested, hardened, or tend to constrict when they should dilate, or not dilate enough. - " Wayne Fugitt " <wayne Sunday, October 13, 2002 7:28 PM High Blood Pressure ( just like the Cholesterol Fraud ) > Evening Morton, > > > High Blood Pressure -- Hearts Working too hard. > > > >I would like it if you/someone can clear up something for me regarding > >high/low blood pressure. > > You may recall what our friend Charles Weber said about blood pressure > on this list. > > He said that high blood pressure did not hurt very much because the blood > vessels are 10 times as strong as they need to be. > > Consider this.............. a blood pressure reading is 150 instead of 130. > > The unit, mmHg is equal to .02 psi. Guest guest
I have tried to figure this one out as well because I know that they keep moving the goalposts as to what is and isn't classed as hbp - I have checked my bp from when I was pregnant with both my children and find that it is not that much different (32 years ago) and although they had no problem with it then, now it seems that it is bad for me (?). I think I will give their ideas the heave ho and continue taking the supplements knowing that I am doing my body a lot of good and very little harm. I am now 69. Last year, my blood pressure, my doctor said, was 120/80, which it has been for a long time. This year, he says that it is 130/70. I said " Oh, the readings are diverging. " HIs reply was that the readings are still in the normal range. But what does this reading mean, I asked. He replied that with age, the blood vessels thicken. He did not say that they are being coated with something, or that the heart is working harder, or a myriad of possible answers. That's it. What kind of answer was that? So, can anyone answer my question? Pardon me, now I have 2 to answer. Morton
Guest guest
Dear Wayne, It is true that I said that we do not have to worry unduly about the pressure on healthy arteries (especially healthy with sufficient copper), and still believe that. However, it is quite possible that there may be concern about damage to the fragile glomeruli of the kidneys. There is no danger from sdden death or brain damage, of course, from such damage. There are at least three fundamentally different types of high blood pressure if hormone spectrums are an indication. Unfortunately I do not know the cause of any of them, although long term ingestion of too much sodium chloride must be involved with at least one of them. You may be interested to know that additional potassium often lowers blood pressure somewhat, but if a recent experiment is valid, potassium as the chloride actually raises blood pressure somewhat. One more argument for getting as much nourishment as possible from food. It tastes good too. Much better than pills. Sincerely, Charles Weber
