sickness -- good or bad?

Mindy,

I know of people who used to have colds all the time. But after improving

their nutrition, have them rarely (and some never). I understand that the

cold symptoms are caused by the immune system ridding the body of the virus,

but it seems to me that it is overstimulated like in the case of allergies,

which indicates that something is wrong that can be helped through nurturing

your immune system. This is just my opinion from my own experiences. Take it

for what it is worth.

burden is light. " Matthew 11:28-29

Hi all,

I asked a question about whether sickness was good or bad the other

day, and didn't get much of a response, so I thought I'd clarify.

Here's what I'm wondering: If I get a cold, does that mean it's bad

(a.k.a. my immune system is NOT working, because I wasn't healthy enough

to fight it off before coming down with actual symptoms & poor health)

or that it's good (a.k.a. my immune system IS working; my body is doing

a good job fighting off the virus). What do you think? Is the ideal

life to have no sickness at all? Or to pass through a sickness with

little effort?
