Guest guest
Duels between the Allopaths and the Naturopaths never cease. Before you make a decision, you better read the 1929 article on milk from the Mayo Foundation. I drink 16 ounces of milk every day, but it is boosted with near 200 other nutrients plus TWO raw eggs and two tablespoons of flax oil which is 100% fat. I know........ according to these folks, I died 15 years ago. Two links to the doctor they are trying to crucify. http://www.ensureyoursuccess.net/sadkhincomplex.htmla http://www.ensureyoursuccess.net/wholemilk.html Wayne ========================================== NNF - With Friends Like These ... : : : news September 24, 2002 NUTRITION NEWS FOCUS " Nutrition news is important. We help you understand it! " Today's Topic: With Friends Like These ... Any part of the food industry loves it when their product is touted by medical professionals, especially for weight loss. However, we doubt that the dairy industry is thrilled with the recommendation of the " The Sadkhin Complex " that drinking whole milk is a key to losing weight. Dr. Sadkhin is a Russian doctor living in the U.S. who prescribes different herbs based on each season because " different organs and systems are most active in each season. " He calls this chronoherbology. There is no evidence for this, and considerable data against such claims. Dr. Sadkhin says that drinking 20 ounces of whole milk twice a week without food will make you lose weight. Well, if that is all you are taking in, you are getting only 375 calories each of those two days. Try to not lose weight on such a low calorie regimen! HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: Dr. Sadkhin also recommends colon hydrotherapy because " layer upon layer of gluey, putrefied feces builds up in the colon. Colon therapy releases toxins, cleanses the blood, stimulates the immune system, restores proper pH balance, and helps maintain weight loss. " The only thing you will lose from this therapy is the money in your wallet. This has no value and has been related to infections and deaths. I don't get what the allopaths are complaining about - there was a study that came out just 2 weeks ago that shows that people who consume lots of dairy lose more weight. BTW remember Adelle Davis - she said that a glass of milk in the morning makes a huge difference in the hunger factor later on in the day. Guest guest
Evening Mindy, >Raw yolks I can fathom, but the whites too? I've heard that raw egg >whites will >cause biotin to leach from your body (or something like that!). I have read a lot about the biotin problem. I has been stated that one has to eat a " lot of raw eggs " for this to happen. I take some extra biotin from time to time in case this may in fact be true. What about the body builders that eat only the egg white and will not eat the yolks? I think this is a misconception on their part. Likely some writers have said bad things about the egg yolks. It probably has something to do with all the bogus information about cholesterol and egg yolks. Wayne

A long, technical answer.... Nothing. I could not find out if I had to grind them or not. With my little grinder, I did not want to get into a full time job grinding flax seed. Do you know if I need to grind them? Wayne
Guest guest
Gosh Wayne, I would not be an expert upon this, though I would sort of tend to think grinding for chickens is not required. So long as they get plenty of proper gravel for their gizzard, or where ever it is they store it, to grind their food with I would think they could crush the flax shell just fine. Plus unground flax would sure last longer outside waiting for them to eat it without losing its' nutritional oils. Good Luck, Vache

If no, then no grinding needed. Alobar
