Guest guest
Evening DMM, I hope we do not have to continue persuing this line of >obnoxiousness. If you have questions just ask them. What about the vitamin c made by various animals? Is it different in any way from the many different sources we eat and the material made by man? With all this genetic engineering going on, looks like someone could FIX us humans so we could make vitamin C. Wayne
Guest guest
It's an interesting question that I honestly had not considered. My assumption is that there must be some reason as to why most living creatures are required to both produce their own food from within and simultaneously acquire other food from without. Why is an answer I don't think I will ever know. That's likely more a question for a philosophy group :-) I also think I'd stop short of considering the need and benefits of exogenous vit c as something needing fixing. As a matter of course we could take this line of thinking all the way to why not genetically engineer us to endogenously produce all our own nutrients, why need require any exogenous food? Again wayne thanks for the creative thought, I have no idea about its merits, desirability or even possibility but its interesting none the less.
