Guest guest
Hello, Recently I have joined in a search to broaden my understanding of neo- tech (new thinking) and its practical application in life extension. I'd like to offer my experience in the field of Alternative and Holistic Science. Specifically, the condition of health-care and the perceptions surrounding health are what deeply trouble me. Recently I caught a newsclip of the pending lawsuit of Hirsch implicating the fast-food industry to be held accountable for the health of its consumers. Although it may seem outrageous, there is a definite factual foundation to their argument, especially regarding the proven addictive qualities of fat, and with a marketing appeal that is geared towards children, the long term dangers are apparent. Would the same type of lawsuit be effective against doctors who are victims of the pharmaceutical companies aggresive marketing? I'd rather not hold doctors directly accountable unless they clearly are in the wrong. Doctors ignorant of health routinely prescribe medications for treating disease. Ignorance is harmful, but it is not a deliberate act. Chemotherapy, for instance, is used to treat Cancer. But the risk most times is even greater than the disease itself, because the treatment weakens the immune defenses of the body. The fallacy the public has come to believe is linked to the belief that doctors treating with drugs cure disease. This is not true. Families with members who are on many medications are running a high risk for complicating their illness, and long term the results are suppression of illness rather than cure. Unfortunately without a Neo-Tech view on this situation, well-meaning people will continue putting their trust in doctors, who many are too busy to find out the latest findings published in their own Scientific Journals, that now point to the body, not synthetic drugs, as the only way to cure disease. Those on synthetic drugs long term can't expect to heal, which is why we see many on more than one medication, treating a variety of side- effects. What organizations currently utilize a Neo-Tech approach to Holistic and Alternative Science? Sincerely, Griffith
