Opposition to Smokers

Thank goodness I have given up, the thought of being beheaded is not exactly

what I would deem a 'good and worthy end' - still it gave me a good laugh -

thanks Wayne. As an ex smoker I should be saying each to their own but

really I would like to say, ban smoking in every single public place, ban it

in the streets and in the workplace. Smoking should only be allowed in your

own home. However, this message will self distruct immediately you have read

and I will admit nothing - LOL

Historically, there have been many people in high places opposed to smoking.

 

One of the best I read was about an old king who sent spies into the allies

to find people smoking.

 

When he found and captured them, he would have them beheaded.

 

Do you think it will come to that point again?

 

You know the pen has killed more people than the sword.

I really dislike smoking & being exposed to other people's

smoking, but I am not real keen on any drug legislation. However, I

sure would encourage smokers to get several ionic air cleaners for

their homes, especially if they have kids or live with adults who do

not smoke.

I am not talking about legislation but more about peoples rights to a healthy

life - I cannot believe that I was so stupid as to endanger others lives but

then when I started smoking I had no idea how bad it was for you. I did know

that it was a waste of money but had no idea that it would take me almost 39

years to give up and that it was so bad for me and those in my vicinity

whilst I was smoking. The truth would help to educate, I just wonder how

many of those millionaires who sell cigarettes and related goods are actually

smokers themselves and if they are not, WHY.

 

I think I would disagree with you about drug legislation, since they

announced that they were going to be more 'lenient' with 'soft' drug users,

we have had a 10 year old girl die from taking ecstasy and this weekend I

heard of a child of 2 seriously ill in hospital after swallowing an ecstasy

pill - something must be done to protect these children from their drug abuse

parents.
