Guest guest
July 18, 2002: British researchers announced on Wednesday that genetically modified (g-m) DNA was found to alter intestinal bacteria of humans after eating just one g-m meal. This means that g-m food could reduce human resistance to illness and confirms that g-m food is easily capable of altering body chemistry. As a result of the British announcement, environmental group Friends of the Earth issued a statement saying " GM food should be withdrawn from the market and further research must be commissioned as a matter of urgency, " G-m ingredients are currently being used in many popular food products, but manufacturers are not yet required to disclose this information. As reported in previous Rebfile.com stories many g-m crops have been designed as purposely infertile. The intention of this is to make farmers purchase new seeds from g-m manufacturers (such as Monsanto) every season - a form of economic slavery and a violation of the public's rights to natural resources. Additionally, genetic crops are now spreading uncontrollably in places such as Mexico, creating the possibility of mass contamination of non g-m crops. " Yes, I have heard this quite a bit on PBS radio & in publications. In Mexico, they usually make direct reference to the indigenous corn/maze being contaminated by genetically engineered pollen being blown in on the winds from GREAT distances. Is nothing safe?
