Farmed Salmon highly diseased

Jean, & all else concerned,

I would no more eat farmed salmon than eat out of a toilet. Amongst

my other experiences in life I was sent to Norway to learn the shore

based fish processing industry. There I had some very first hand

experiences regarding farmed salmon. After all the Norwegian's are

considered world leaders when it comes to the fish industry as a

whole.

To begin with what the fish are actually fed is hideous. If God

meant for fish to eat HORMONE corn then I think he would have planted

corn stalks in the ocean. Yep, we gotta add those hormones to make

them fishes grow bigger, faster! Sound anything like cows to you?

*sigh* Next add the " dirty water " of these ocean pen reared fish.

The nitrogen levels in these naturally current cleaned waters can be

astounding. With highly dense concentration of fish mass like this

just does not work as mother nature intended cleansing of her

waters. Then with the stress upon these fish being so confined in

large numbers & the " dirty pens " disease is rampant, so it is LEGAL

for them to then pump the fish full of drugs (most commonly through

their crappy milled feed) in order to " help " with the rampant disease

issues that crop up with farmed fish. The open sores on these fish

is sickening to look at. These are fish, they are not supposed to be

swimming around with open sores...

Now, if one goes on to actual tank/pond reared fish the situation can

become even worse. *ugh*

Of course one does not find me eating beef from the grocery store

either. After fish, I spent time in the cattle industry. What can I

say, those multi-national corporations are huge & quite diversified...

Do you feel the same way about other farmed fish such as rainbow trout sold

at Costo?

I do NOT eat FARMED fish period. Read the ingredients for milled

fish feed. Look into the laws about allowable pharmaceuticals to be

given to farmed fish.

ALL of you have to take some responsibility in educating yourselves.

Do some searches in Google & Dog Pile, or whatever your Search Engine

choice. Look into things as if you were going to go into the

business yourself.

NEITHER do I eat a cow from the grocery store. Nor do I care to eat

vegetables that I did not grow myself or are not certified organic.

Neither do I eat out much, for that industry strongly uses aluminum

for cooking in/with. One even needs to cheque the " natural/organic "

places as to what they use for cooking in/with.
