Your mention of brown fat jogged my memory a bit.

 

The article I read stated that we all have brown fat. And.... it is the

important fat that controls the burning of other fats.

 

SO.... I think there should be two colors of fat, white and brown. The

brown was stated to have a low and stable mass. It does not grow and

increase like the white fat.

 

Still working on memory. Maybe someone will uncover the source for more

information on brown fat.
