Guest guest
My ex-wife wrote me the following question which I am throwing out to the list as it is far beyond what I have stumbled upon in my health-related readings: > I mean specifically supplement derived from organic bovine ovaries. > I've heard they do amazing things for women as hormonal supplements-- > get rid of PMS, make one look & feel younger, sleep better, > delay the affects of menopause etc. > I am specifically interested in this supplement. Any comments for or against? Any alternate suggestions? Alobar
Guest guest
As one that has spent time assisting a slaughter house buyer at cattle auctions in the US & Canada, thus knowing the shape the cattle are in, along with being aware of the typical feeding & medicating practices for both dairy & beef cattle that end up in the supermarket, frankly, I would not touch a bovine ovary with a 10' pole. As a side note, when you buy that steak at the suprmarket don't be so foolish as to think you are getting a beef cow. Odds good you are buying some washed out milk cow that has has had so much garbage pumped into for producing milk & antibotics for ateempting to keep the infections under comtrol it is pathetic. At least so went my personal experience---said purely to keep myself from being sued by anyone ion the industry. Any rumors you heard about kangaroo meat going through US slaughter houses has a foundation of truth to it too... JMO, Vache Vache

No pesticides on cattle feed. No growth hormones or antibiotics in the cow. I can tell the looks of a steak from a old worn-out dairy cow by look long before I get it in my mouth. Thanks for the heads-up, but I am already aware in this area. Alobar
Guest guest
Yes, I well know that you would be aware of the " process, " though the question is does the manufactor of the bovine ovary product really even care?
Guest guest
My ex-wife says the label claims the stuff is made from organic ovaries. Also another product made from soy ( http://www.lef.org/newshop/items/item00231.html ). Question is mainly whether progesterone supplements are good or harmful for one long-term. Guest guest
Why doesn't she try one of the wild yam creams instead? They seem to have an established record.
