Dear Friends,

Here is some hopeful news about a bill to require labeling

just a few moments of your time.

John

Labeling Legislation Introduced to Congress!

H.R.4814

Genetically Engineered Food Right to Know Act

(Introduced in House)

Dennis Kucinich, a Representative from Ohio, introduced

legislation last month that would require labeling of food

products which contain genetically engineered ingredients.

In over 30 countries, consumers have the right to know if

their foods contain genetically engineered ingredients . . .

but the U.S. isn't one of those countries!

It will be an uphill fight to get this labeling legislation

passed. The biotech industry, including Monsanto, is

lobbying hard against your right-to-know.

You can send an e-mail and fax a letter to your

Representative from our web site. Just click or cut and

paste this URL into your web browser:

Or you can send your Representative a personal note. These

letters are particularly effective because you took the time

to write.

You can find your Representative's name and address in the

front section of the Yellow Pages or from:

http://www.thecampaign.org/congressletters.htm

To contact your representatives by phone, just call the

national Capitol switchboard at 1-202-225-3121 and ask to

speak to your congressman and senators.

Please let us know what kind of response you get from your

representatives. You can send us an e-mail at:

Thank you very much for your timely action on this important

issue.
