Guest guest
Today I finished up a box of glucose test strips after I measured my glucose levels. I got out my new box of strips, calibrated my machine to the new box of strips, then I re-measured my blood glucose levels. I expected the two tests to give identical results. Not so. 139 with last of old strips. 124 with new strip. I have been puzzling over the past few months because my blood glucose levels have been consistently high by abut 20-30 points. My experiment earlier showed a discrepancy of 15 points between 2 boxes of test strips. So maybe the jump I experienced a while back is (at least partially) from different batches of test strips. None of the literature which comes with the strips or the meter indicated to me that there should be differences between test strip batches. Hmmmm . . .
