Guest guest
i have a question in regards to this and L-Tyrosine. i read that these two vitamins would help aid in weight loss if you are resistant... but i was searching ebay and found an auction for Xenadrine.. in the description of this product i noticed the warning portion. this product has the first two vitamins in it.. but the warning labe states if you have a seizure disorder do not take the Xenadrine. now i do NOT take weight loss druggs.. but in dr atkin's book he states the first two would be good if your are resistant... does this mean that if i was to just get the first two that i should not take them??? why would they affect someone with seizure disorder?? any of them?? gypsi
Guest guest
gypsi, I am not sure of the meaning of his term " resistant " . But I do know that if your body is lacking in those supplements then they will do something positive for you. These supplements are not vitamins but are amino acids. I am not extremely knowedgeable but did read a book about them. One of the things amino acids do is help stimulate neurotransmitters in the brain. Perhaps this could be too much stimulation for a person with seizures. Triggering them to come on. Also amino acids help elevate moods, memory and energy function. That is why they can be used to overcome depression and anxiety. They are the building blocks for our bodies and what I read is that if you are not producing certain amino acids it can in turn develope into a disease. I found this information in reading about Enzyme Therapy and I would like to have an evaluation for the enzymes I may be lacking. But take notice when taking an amino acid supplement that you would not take it for 6 months straight. The body stores amino acids and you could find yourself feeling strange after a few months. Once they are in your system you can take them off and on so you don't overload on them. Perhaps the miligrams (dosage) has some bearing on it as well. I find them a very good antidote and use them off and on. There are amino acids that help reduce sugar cravings. I took a product that listed it as a weight loss pill. After taking 1 tablet, in 20 minutes my sugar craving went away. I guess that would help you loose weight. But you know I never had to take as many as what the bottle said to take. I took just 1 a day and after awhile I noticed I wasn't craving sugar anymore, so I stopped taking the tablet. I believe my body stored and utilized the amino acid in my body. I also think, (my theory) is that sometimes when the body gets very ill, it forgets how to normalize itself. Adding that supplement made my body utilize it and now functions better. Now if I can only find solutions to my other complaints as easy as that was. Liz D. D'Adamo diet from his book called " Eat right for your type " My blood type is OP and i had to give up grains, potatoes, some cheeses and a few other things.
