Ya know, I just read someone's testimony and I have no idea where in the

heck I read it. Was it here? About the guy with HIV who never took the HIV

drugs but used herbs and oils instead and is still going strong?

I heard of a guy giving lectures in the late 1980's who had been in

pretty bad shape who turned himself around using lots of raw veggies,

mega-doses of vitamin C, and taking BHT.

I have also heard many negative things about the HIV medications --

calling it AIDS by prescription.

Hi there! Sure, there's plenty of people who have never used

antiretrovirals, and are long term survivors. The illness is unusually

individual, as diseases go, and so what works well for one person may

not for another. Whether wholistic or pharmaceutical, little seems to

be universal. This makes it very difficult to draw conclusions. Herbs

have been used to treat HIV for a couple decades: Hypericin, Olive Leaf,

Chinese Herbal Compounds, among some that come to mind. Some of us have

had good results, but not that elusive cure, simply improved health &

quality of life. The drugs are also difficult to assess, and have a

term of usefulness of about 2 1/2 yrs., with some terrible side

effects. Good lab counts, but the guys often just look like death: on

paper they're doing well, but look just awful. This also is

inconsistent, some people seem to do very well--and for a fair time.

There's little to be certain of! " Keep Hope Alive " is a good resource

on the Net, & there's others too. Best we can do is be as well informed

as possible & make the best choices we can. Steve
