Guest guest
" " Do you know - are organically grown plants more nutritious than " commercially grown " ? If quality can be determined by appearance, your plants will be the most nutritious possible. " " Reply; I believe that there is ample evidence to show that if iodine is lacking in the soil, people get goiter. There is mounting evidence that cancer patients have low levels of selenium in their body. Both of these minerals are lacking in the soil in some areas of the world. Good farming or organic farming would make sure that these nutrients are available to their produce. I gardened several years - buying various organic fertilizers, seaweed, green sand, bone meal, etc. results were spectacular. I have heard that some organic farming standards are defective- so you do not know what you are getting. Coconuts are strictly organic; As the growers cannot afford synthetic chemical fertilizer[ On the other hand Pineapple grown in some areas are treated with iron chemicals or they don't grow. not all chemicals are bad as fertilizer----------But there are bad ways to grow plants with chemicals. We need a full spectrum analysis of produce that shows it meets a nutrition standard rather than a blemish free, size and color standard as at present.
