Guest guest
Well would you believe it, I finally received my supplements today to find that they have changed the formula. These contain ingredients that are not good for anyone who has heart/hbp problems (one ingredient contained caffiene a definite no-no) so they have had to go back. I am now trying to source others, guggul reduces cholesterol which can't be bad so I really do want to try them. Will keep you updated. marianne
Guest guest
Thanks for that I now know that all my weight is white fat and believe me there is a lot of it <grin> I read the sites and they did make interesting reading however, I have hbp and caffeine is a definite no-no for me, I do not have any caffeine whatsoever and have not done so for approximately 1 year - even a small amount would now have me climbing the walls and sleep would not be something to contemplate for 24 hours. The warning on the supplements actually said " do not take if you have hbp, heart trouble or thyroid disease " ?? As it is called Thyro-Tek, it was a bit of a surprise to read that warning really. The distributor that I purchased from rang the US where the manufacturers are based and they are now concerned that the wrong label is on the product. I think that i will give it a total miss now anyway as i have found another one called Thyro Max - hopefully that will arrive on Saturday and I get my thyroid activated. I am not using this supplement as a weight loss aid, if my thyroid works I won't need that if I eat a good healthy diet - mind you that is a big IF. If you read this site, you will find out what caffeine does to you and why people with hbp should not have it. http://www.howstuffworks.com/caffeine2.htm Thanks for your help. marianne > > > A small amount of caffeine might not be so bad. Guest guest
Evening Marianne, >Well would you believe it, I finally received my supplements today to find >that they have changed the formula. These contain ingredients that are not >good for anyone who has heart/hbp problems (one ingredient contained caffiene >a definite no-no) so they have had to go back. A small amount of caffeine might not be so bad. It increases the thermogenesis factor that causes brown fat to burn white fat as energy. Generally, I am caffeine free except for the small amount in black tea with lemon juice and lemon oil. I can dig up more info on this if you want, but you seem to be one of the research experts on the list. <grin> Here are some links. But.... I read all about this in a book I have. http://arbl.cvmbs.colostate.edu/hbooks/pathphys/misc_topics/brownfat.html http://www.clarionledger.com/news/0204/10/fjanet.html Wayne
