I kept this article because I wanted to read up on it again and then print it

out - however, I came across another article about Folic Acid this week, it

says that it is also good for men and have always thought of it as being a

'female' supplement. So all you ladies, get your men on it as well, all you

gent's get out there and buy it well. By the way, they recommend that it is

not taken on it's own as it works in conjunction with other nutrients, best

taken in B complex supplement. Folic rich foods are spinach, kale and chard

specifically and also brocolli, asparagus, kidney beans, chickpeas, lentils,

wholegrain cereals, organes, wheatgerm and liver (organic of course).

Alcohol however can interfere with the absorption and the way it is used by

the body.

Low levels of FA and high levels of homocysteine have also been associated

with Alzheimer's disease, diabetes and cancer of the colon.
