Re High protein diet and supplements wondering about.

Hi Group,

 

My Dr. has been in contact with an Orthomolecular Dr

in Calgary. I posted before about this somewhat.

I am down to 2.5mgs valium on it in total 8mths am

cutting again in 2 days. Am also on remeron 15 mgs for

about 7wks, I don't think its helping but reducing it

and the valium at the same time might be to hard right

now. I want to get off the valium asap and then the

remeron. This dr recommended a high protein diet and

less carbs for w/d and he also suggested L-glutomine

and vit c 1000mgs 3 times a day and niacin no flush

500mgs 3times a day and seleneum 400micgms a day and

vit e 400 ius a day and magneseum 200mgs 3 times a day

and vit b6 not sure of dose am waiting to talk to him

some more. Omega 3 oils 1000mgs 3 a day. I am not fat

and do not need to loose weight. The Dr Atkins new

diet revolution I bought and Protein Power by Michael

R Eadea M.D.

I need to talk to this Dr about the protein and carb

stuff. Has any one felt better eating this way?

I thuoght I ate well but I eat a lot of carbs. I am

cutting back slowly and anding in more protein. Have

only been doing this for a week. I thought this was

helping somewhat but had 2 awful days. My sleep is

very disturbed and anxiety makes my head hurt so bad I

freak out and cry a lot. Am also taking a supplement

that has other vits and such in it called e. m. power

webe-site www.truehope.com. Will be increasing this

once off valium and remeron and through w/d. I am not

sure if taking these things are benafiting me or not.

I know the em power is good have been on it for a

year. There is more to my story but for now I just

want to know if these things really help in w/d? Or

are we all so desperate we'll try almost anything? Has

any one here seen an Othomelecular Dr. with success in

this area?

Dr. Atkins has had so many health problems recently that I find it

impossible to believe his theories! Were you aware that he suffers

with a myocardial infarction at the moment? So much for his high

protein diet theories!!

In addition to that, I have discovered that several of his products

contain sucralose!! Elaine has some vital info concerning this

sweetener. It is not fit for human consumption and those who indulge

are suffering symptoms similar to those from aspartame!

Have you ever considered that your problem might be processed

devitalized foods? Our grocery stores are full of them!! Organic

foods are higher in micronutrient content and provide the body with

many more essential nutrients. Genetically Engineered foods and

chemical additives in processed foods cause disease.

some think that these are harmless, but research indicates otherwise!

They end up in our liver, and sometimes never are completely flushed

from the body!

It is my experience that one can obtain much better quality of

health by eating Organic!
