Bon Some studies suggest that people with higher cholesterol levels live longer. Plus.... even the AHA has said that cholesterol is not the indicator of heart disease " that we once thought it was " . Gee, how long have they lied to us? I eat butter, egg yokes, bacon, sausage, whipping cream, milk, and many other fats, but not mayonnaise. I am trying to eat all the fat I can. A few days back, I had two sausage patties for breakfast and about 12 hours later cooked 1 pound of venison sausage and ate it all. So.... how soon will I die? More fats, less carbs, and so much protein I worry about it, but not much. I know..... some say too much protein will make the liver disappear. If it takes a hundred years, maybe so. How low is " way down " , and what is the target. If my levels are not up 10 to 20 percent when I get the next analysis, I will be highly disappointed. My total count was 166 about a year ago. Guest guest
---Greetings... Here is a good article on the subject of cholesterol. It might shed a little light on the subject. It's not the cholesterol that kills, its the free radicals that enter the body from processed foods and our polluted environment! " We now know that cholesterol contributes to heart disease ONLY when it is oxidized or subjected to * free radical* damage! Cholesterol DAMAGE OCCURS when *free radicals* are taken up by white blood cells " Macrophages " and deposited in " fatty streaks " on artery walls. This fosters *plaque* buildup in the arteries and is the key in the development of heart disease!
