PRESSURE SUPERMARKET CHAINS TO REMOVE GE INGREDIENTS ON JUNE 8TH,

2002

HELP PRESSURE SUPERMARKETS TO REMOVE GE INGREDIENTS ON JUNE 8TH, 2002.

LEAFLET YOUR LOCAL GROCERY STORE

Organic Consumers Association and The GE Free Markets Coalition are

calling on Safeway, Shaw's, Food Lion, Publix and other national

Supermarket chains to remove Genetically Engineered (GE) ingredients

from their Store brand products.

Tell Your Supermarket to Stop Using Untested, Unlabeled Genetically

Engineered Foods!

*****National Day of Action, Saturday, June 8, 2002*****

PROTESTS WILL BE TAKING PLACE IN OVER 100 CITIES ACROSS THE U. S. AND

In Europe, similar campaigns against supermarket chains helped drive GE

foods off the market. Trader Joe's, Wild Oats, and Whole Foods have

already committed to removing GE ingredients from their store brand

" private label " products. Pressure your local supermarket to do the

same and provide safe food for their customers.

JOIN THE CAMPAIGN AND HOLD A LEAFLETING EVENT OR PROTEST OUTSIDE YOUR

LOCAL SUPERMARKET

For More Information about taking part in the day of action by

leafleting in front of your local supermarket reply to this email and we

will be happy to send you a packet of information with background

information, leaflets, and postcards. You can also find out more about

the campaign on our website
