EU Directive on Supplements

In June 2002 Here's Health mag on the naturalhealthnews page there is an

article on the new directive that they are trying to implement here.

Apparently it is not too late to do something about this. They are saying to

write to your MP or MEP and tell them how supplements benefit your health -

do it before the recess at the end of June or June 2005 hundreds of safe and

useful nutrients will become illegal (is what they say) To find out the name

of your local MP, call 020 7219 3000, for your MEP, call 020 7227 4300.

For details www.mca.gov.uk or www.food.gov.uk/news/newsarchive/55790

www.healthchoice.org.uk or call NAHS on 0114 236 3043 or visit www.nahs.co.uk

for more action points.

Lets see if we can all get those letters in and change things for the better

in the UK - send this information to anyone you think would be interested in

saving our rights to purchase supplements. The highest vit c we will be able

to purchase after June 2005 will be 180 mgs, I personally take 1,000 mgs a

day at present and just would not be able to afford to buy them at that price

- 180mgs a day is just not worth the effort in my opinion. Plus the fact, I

am sick of the EU telling us what we can and can't do - let us show them that

we will not be dictated to any longer.
