Cancer and infections go hand in hand. Chronic viral infections are

often the cause of cancer, like HIV/AIDS (Kaposi sarcoma) or Hepatitis C (cancer

of the liver). In advanced cases of cancer, the immune system can be weakened

to the point where the patient is in constant danger of deadly opportunistic

infections. Alternative medicine pays close attention to systemic infections,

and it is quite capable of dealing with them successfully.

The position taken by the North American medical establishment concerning

bacterial and viral infections is simply amazing. Physicians from other

continents often think that we are joking when we describe the methods used --

or rather, not used -- against infections in our hospitals.

 

Mainstream medicine has no viable answer to viral infections.

Antibiotics are -- and always were -- useless against viruses. A good example

is Hepatits C. The main drug -- and a very expensive one -- given to Hep C

patients, is Interferon. According to many medical experts, including a

spokesperson at the Hep C Department of the Canadian Ministry of Health in

Ottawa, Interferon is quite useless against the disease. It also makes many

people violently ill. We were informed that one of its potential side effects

is that it can cause Parkinson's Disease. We know of a Canadian patient who

claims to have contracted Parkinson's from Interferon, and is now suing the

pharmaceutical company..

 

There are approx. 250 thousand Hep C patients in Canada, and 3.5 million

in the US. The interferon treatment costs over $10.000 per year. How much does

this add up in yearly drug sales?

 

When a person is diagnosed with Hepatits C, the doctor will tell the

patient that although it is often possible to slow down the progression of the

disease, it is, in most cases, ultimately irreversible. The Canadian government

is in the process of paying out 1.3 billion dollars in compensation to patients

who were infected through blood transfusion by tainted blood. If the disease

would be curable according to the official viewpoint, they wouldn't pay any

compensation; they would cure the patients. Yet... when a doctor tells a

patient that Hep C is irreversible, and that there are no better treatments

available than Interferon, he is taking a position that is being proven wrong on

a daily basis by countless alternative and holistic practitioners. According to

a number of holistic medical doctors, as well as alternative ones, Hep C, and

most other chronic viral infections, are controllable and reversible by SEVERAL

treatment modalities. These treatments are non-toxic, there are no harmful side

effects, and they are inexpensive. In British Columbia, Canada, a group of

board certified naturopathic physicians is regularly taking care of Hep C

patients, with excellent results. While the average practitioner in North

America may be ignorant of such treatments, the leaders of the medical

establishment are very well aware of their existence and efficacy.

 

Is it, then, possible to eliminate chronic viral infections? According

to a number of highly reputable holistic and alternative practitioners, as well

as the alternative medical literature, the answer is, YES! At E.M.I. we have

Bacterial infections belong to a different field. There are countless

antibiotics available against the different pathogenic bacterial strains. The

trouble is, we are witnessing the beginning of the breakdown of mainstream

medicine's antibacterial arsenal. Last year over 70 thousand deaths were

reported in American hospitals from nosocomial (hospital acquired) infections,

caused by multidrug resistant bacterial strains. Yet, there are powerful

treatment modalities available that, according to alternative medical experts,

could have saved the vast majority of those patients. However, these are

methods unapproved by the FDA. The fact that they are safe, effective, and

inexpensive, doesn't seem to interest the authorities. We included several

studies on these treatments in our report. This information may become vitally

important when an immune system, weakened by some trauma or disease, is unable

to resist an opportunistic infection, and all available mainstream medications
