Here is an abstract from an editorial published earlier this year in the March 19th edition of the Journal of Experimental Medicine: Ï÷Proliferation in the setting of chronic inflammation predisposes humans to carcinoma in the breast, liver, large bowel, urinary bladder, prostate, gastric mucosa, ovary, and skin. Perhaps the best evidence for the importance of inflammation during neoplastic progression comes from a study of cancer risk among long-term users of aspirin and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. A large body of data indicates that use of these drugs reduces colon cancer risk by 40-50 per cent, and that may be preventative for lung, esophagus, and stomach cancer÷Ó VALUABLE BREAST CANCER ACTION WEBSITE: Go to: http://www.bcaction.org.
