Guest guest
Has anyone here ever had Chelation IV and/or Oral therapy? I'd like to hear anyones comments on it. I've been thinking of having this done. mp
Guest guest
Hi there! I'm doing chelation right now, oral type, under a Naturopath's guidance. He's having me do 5 days on, 11 days off (with nutritional support while " off " ). I did urine test first, and the mercury levels were almost off the chart! I had mercury fillings removed improperly (I should sue!). I've had no problems during chelation, and it's taking about 3 months to do this. Testing was expensive, but the drug is not (relatively). Guest guest
I've had over 50 IV chelation treatments for chest pain. There was no discernible change in my condition. The procedures were $100 each, were uncomfortable and lasted an hour. The pro and anti chelation " authorities, " and medical practitioners " believe " that it works and that it doesn't work. Studies have been conducted by researchers that were probably hostile to the idea of chelation. In any case, I know of no studies that establish the effectiveness of the procedure. I tried it, mostly out of desperation. - " mp8693 " <mp8693 Wednesday, March 27, 2002 8:01 AM Chelation therapy. > Has anyone here ever had Chelation IV and/or Oral therapy? There was no discernible change in my condition John, I haven't been able to afford it, but if I would try it I would go for the magnesium EDTA. Is that what you had? It's supposed to work in only 10-20 applications at $75-100 each and be maximally effective. Starris
Guest guest
All I can tell you, is that the IV pouch contained both EDTA and a mixture of complementary nutrients, probably a wide spectrum of vitamins, minerals, etc. I never asked what the mixture was. The doctor that prescribed these treatments was a chelation doctor that had been at it for many years. He also prescribed a half dozen supplements that I was to take orally, including borage oil. I don't know what condition you're treating, but in my case, there's no doubt in my mind, that a conscientiously applied program of very careful dieting, weight loss, and daily exercise (as vigorous as I could muster without great pain or exhaustion), plus relaxation techniques and adequate rest, would accomplish more than anything the doctors have to offer in the way of surgeries or pharmaceuticals. But major life style changes are extremely difficult for nearly all of us; surgery and drugs are easy. You just submit to them; it requires no effort on our part. I also take numerous nutritional supplements, but have no idea what they're doing for me, if anything. Whatever you do, don't abandon sensible dieting and persistent, routine exercise. best of luck John P. - " Starris " <starrisg Thursday, March 28, 2002 8:07 PM Re: Chelation therapy. > >> I've had over 50 IV chelation treatments for chest pain.
