CANCER CURE???

Why Hasn't This Cancer Cure Story Been Told?

For more than 50 years people from all over the world went to Ontario, Canada

for cancer treatment with a simple herbal formula that gave miraculous results.

Why has this important news failed to reach millions of vitally interested

people? The story of ESSIAC should be part and parcel of the natural healing

lore of North America. Instead it is virtually unknown today despite the fact

that it performed so well against thousands of cases of terminal cancer that it

came within only three votes of being legalized by the Canadian parliament.

Still, chances are you have never heard of it.

Now, thanks to APW, you will not only know the whole story, you will know the

secret ingredients of this herbal formula and how to get the herbs and make the

tonic yourself.

What price truth? The medical monopoly and government proclaim to have spent

billions in search of a cure for cancer. Except for the jobs created, the " War

on Cancer " has been an utter flop. That great " war " began in 1970 with President

Nixon's appointment of Benno C. Schmidt as " Cancer Czar " and about twenty years

later some truly valuable information squeezed out when the cancer establishment

finally admitted that the standard methods used (chemotherapy, radiation,

surgery) have lost the war - they don't work. That may be valuable information -

but it's not good news.

How valuable is information that testifies to genuine victories against

cancer? There have been several widely proclaimed, but suppressed therapies that

indeed saved lives and restored health - Dr. Koch, Dr. Ivy, Dr. Gerson, Hoxey et

al. However, one of the greatest of these alternative cancer stories - the story

of ESSIAC has not been openly told. Such information should not be withheld from

the people, but until now, it has been! You have a right to know that a simple

herbal remedy was credited for curing thousands, and for relieving the pain of

more thousands of dying cancer patients.

" There is a tragic and shameful irony in the ESSIAC tale, " notes a Canadian

magazine, " In the beginning, a simple herbal recipe was freely shared by an

Indian who understood that the blessings of the Creator belong to all. "

You have probably heard such shameful stories before. How greedy individuals

with power over the cancer establishment suppressed possible cures because they,

the owners of that establishment, could not have absolute control. It happened

in the case of Dr. William F. Koch, for example.

The ESSIAC story is one that has not been widely circulated. Even the various

" alternative " circles in the United States know little if anything about this

fantastic herbal remedy and the role it played for decades in Canada.

APW heard the story and read Dr. Gary Glum's book " Calling of An Angel. " Then

our investigative skills went to work. The well written and documented book

actually raised more questions than it answered, and it did not reveal the

formula. We learned that there are present day charges and counter-charges

marring the whole truth, and people with vested interests are squabbling over

rights to the formula which had been used so well by the late Rene Caisse. This

fabled nurse used the formula unselfishly for decades. ESSIAC, in fact, is her

name spelled backwards.

So many terminally ill patients became well again that public pressure forced

the Canadian Parliament to react in 1939. The medical monopoly pulled out all

stops, yet ESSIAC came within only three votes of becoming a legal therapy for

cancer. The medical establishment won the war of politics and propaganda - but

helped lose the war on cancer.

APW'S Tom Valentine probed the story behind the story, and found out the whole

truth with the help of sincere people, doctors and laymen alike, who have no

special axes to grind.

Dr. Charles Brusch of the famed Brusch Clinic in Cambridge, Massachusetts

(physician to John F. Kennedy) - not only tested ESSIAC on human patients, but

proved its value against his own cancer. He continues proclaiming it's great

value today. ESSIAC appears to be able to dissolve diabetes as well as cancer!

Excerpts from the book " Calling of An Angel " follows :

" I decided that if I should ever develop cancer, " Rene wrote in her brief

autobiography, I WAS CANADA'S CANCER NURSE, that I would use this herbal tea.

Then about a year later she was strolling with a wise and aged doctor when he

stopped, took his cane and stroked a weed. " Nurse Caisse, " he told Rene, " if

people would use this weed there would be little or no cancer in the world. "

The doctor told her the name of the plant, Burdock and Rene realized that it

was one of the herbs the elderly woman had named as an ingredient in the

medicine man's tea.

Rene Caisse was a practical and sensible woman, who was very busy with her

nursing career, so she didn't get excited right away

about the fantastic story of the herbal remedy, and even after the doctor's

statement seemed to confirm that she might have something worthwhile, she didn't

experiment or bother herself about the formula.

Then her mother's sister was diagnosed with cancer of the stomach and liver.

The woman was given, at most, six months to live by her physician, R. O. Fisher,

MD.

Rene knew the doctor well, so she told him the story of the herbal tea and

asked permission to give it a try under his observation. Since there was

apparently nothing else medical technology could do, Dr. Fisher consented on the

spot.

" I obtained the necessary herbs, with some difficulty, " Rene wrote, " and

made the tea. "

Rene put it succinctly in her book: " My aunt lived for 21 years after being

given up by the medical profession. There was no recurrence of cancer. "

One could write " needless to say " when describing the reaction by Dr.

Fisher, but when it comes to cancer, the behavior of the medical profession is

anything but predictable. However, Dr. Fisher was, indeed, impressed with what

he observed. He asked Rene to treat other patients -- other " hopeless " cancer

patients.

Dr. Fisher spread the word to other doctors and soon Rene was being asked to

treat their " hopeless " patients as well. They, too, were impressed with the

results. By this time the year was 1926. The rate of cancer death in the United

States had risen to 103 per 100,000! Apparently, cancer was growing in the

general population very much like a malignant tumor.

Obviously Rene became very attached to the herbal formula. She called it

ESSIAC, which is Caisse spelled backwards.

Of all the factors inherent in the bureaucratic syndrome that sets itself up

within the structures of large organizations, the NIH factor is among the most

powerful of influences. Not invented here!

This is not the only reason for the infamous " waivers " required by large

corporations, but it's likely the most sincere. Legally, the deep pockets of

large corporations are a target for nuisance lawsuits, so they must take great

care with what they accept or reject that comes to them from outsiders. None of

this is truly germane to Rene's case, however.

The simplest fact is -- ESSIAC is not going to profit a large drug company,

even if it is acknowledged as the " cure for cancer. "

Firstly, it would wipe out most of the other product sales and secondly

there is no way a company can monopolize a simple herbal tonic if the secret

formula gets out.

They could protect the formula as Coca Cola has done, you might argue. True,

but why ruin all that good business with the real thing? Cancer may be deadly,

but loss of economy is even deadlier in many a person's view.

Rene really knew better than to try soliciting the large drug companies, but

she tried anyway. Back when WWII broke out, she recalled the fact that ESSIAC

had a way of stopping hemorrhages -- the face cancer case for example. She wrote

to Parke Davis company in hopes they would use her formula to help wounded

servicement during the conflict. No dice! She wrote to Merck and to the

Biochemical Institute at the University of Texas and received frustration for

her efforts.

Finally, in 1973 at the age of 85 Rene Caisse tried Sloan- Kettering one

more time. Perhaps she was stimulated by all the hype for President Richard

Nixon's " War on Cancer, " program where the rich within the cancer establishment

were going to get richer.

The Laetrile controversy was in full bloom and Sloan-Kettering was in the

middle. Many people today, including the man who served as the public relations

officer for Sloan-Kettering, Dr. Ralph Moss, are conviced that the " tests " for

any efficacy with Laetrile were rigged to fail.

Dr. Chester Stock, who figured prominently in the Laetrile squabble by the

nature of his position, responded to Rene that if she would send ESSIAC, they

would again test it.

Rene sent Sloan-Kettering one of the herbs -- probably the Burdock Root --

because it is the apparent tumor regressor. The other three are blood purifiers

and symbiotic support substances. She also gave them careful instruction on how

to prepare and inject the material.

Results of their tests were never released. Maybe future inspection of the

archives at Sloan-Kettering may tell the truth about the results of the animal

experiments.

The ESSIAC formula :

6 & 1/2 cups of Burdock Root (cut)

16 ounces of Sheep Sorrel herb (powder)

1 ounce of Turkey Rhubarb Root (powder)

4 ounces of Slippery Elm Bark (powder)

Preparation of ESSIAC herbal tea :

1) Measure out 8 ounces of the Essiac mix (the dry formula above)

2) Place two gallons of distilled water in a stainless steel kettle.

3) Bring the water to a brisk boiling point (about 30 minutes)

4) Put ESSIAC dry mix into the boiling water, stir and boil hard for about

10 minutes

5) Allow to sit and cool slowly for six hours.

6) After six hours, stir it thoroughly with a wooden or stainless tool

7) Let it sit for another six hours

8) Return kettle to stove and bring to a boil

9) When the boiling point is reached, turn off the heat and pour the

contents through a stainless strainer into a second stainless kettle

10) Clean the first kettle thoroughly

11) Strain the contents a second time from pot two to pot one

12) Bottle the herbal tea immediately into dark amber bottles and seal it

while still hot

(*** Dark amber bottles may be purchased from most any drug store or

pharmacy ***)

13) Store in refrigerator

Directions for use of ESSIAC

Heat two ounces (four tablespoons) distilled water, then mix it with two

ounces of ESSIAC tea taken directly from the refrigerator.

ESSIAC should be taken at bed time on an empty stomach, at least two hours

after eating.

It can be taken in the morning on an empty stomach. If taken in the morning,

do not eat for at least two hours after taking the ESSIAC.

Keep the ESSIAC refrigerated at all times.

Shake well each time before pouring.

============== General Tincture Method ===============

Powdered herb(s)

Vegetable glycerin

Vodka

=======================================================

Put finely powdered herb(s) in blender. Cover with 2/3 vodka,

1/3 vegetable glycerine mixture. Blend for a few seconds, and

put mixture in glass jar covered with cloth and rubber band.

Let sit for 7 days in a warm place (80 deg F). Strain through

cheesecloth, squeezing herbs well. Wash off bolus with a bit

of vodka to rinse and squeeze again, if desired.

This makes a cloudy but powerful tincture, usually strong

enough to be considered an extract. After straining, the

mixture can be allowed to sit again for a few days to allow

some of the powder to settle, poured off the top, and then

strained through successively finer filters until desired

clarity is attained.

Filters that can be used in increasing order of effectiveness

are as follows. If there are volatile oil components in the

herb(s), it is best to leave it cloudy and not strain through

too much, which will absorb many of them.

Cheesecloth

Fine cotton fabric (T-shirt material)

Gold plated permanent coffee filter

Paper coffee filter

Vegetable glycerin is sold at health food stores. The

highest quality, lowest price product I have seen is made

by Now Foods. It is a sweet tasting, vegetable oil product.

This method produces a product which contains approx 20%

alcohol, 20% water, 30% vegetable glycerin, and 30% herb

compounds, if 80 proof vodka is used. Some of the alcohol and

water will evaporate when the jar is sitting in the warm spot,

covered with cloth. Since it contains oil, water, and alcohol,

it is one of the most effective mixtures for extracting herbs

(different components of herbs can be water, fat, or alcohol

soluble). Vegetable glycerin is thick and will suspend many

particles making filtering through fine filters difficult, but

it is best to leave particles in it to increase the strength

anyway.

To make an alchol extract, use 100 proof vodka and no vegetable

glycerine. After initial straining, allow to sit in cloth-

covered glass jar another 7 days or so until volume is

decreased by 1/3. To make the most powerful extract, use grain

alcohol (Everclear or Goldengrain) and allow mixture to sit

after initial straining to 1/2 or less initial volume. Alcohol

extracts can easily be filtered to get a clear product.

Vegetable glycerin can be added to sweeten after desired

clarity is reached.

To remove alcohol from tintures or extracts before consuming,

the dose can be mixed in hot water and allowed to sit for 5

minutes to evaporate it.

Rum can be used instead of vodka and will result in a tincture

or extract which tastes better, according to some.

=================== Linament 992 =====================

Apple cider vinegar

Vodka

Comfrey

White willow bark

St. John's wort

Rosemary oil

Lavender oil

Eucalyptus oil

=======================================================

This is an excellent topical for all sorts of muscle, joint,

and bone problems as well as for assisting healing in simple

fractures and such. It should not be used internally, near

mucous membranes, or on open sores, but I would try it on

psoriasis, shingles, and eczema if they were not weeping. Use

often. It can be blended with sodium alginate or other

thickener to make a cream.

All herbs are purchased or ground to fine powder.

Mix together

3 parts comfrey

2 parts St. John's wort

2 parts white willow bark

Put in blender and add enough of a half and half mix of vodka and

vinegar to make a thick slurry. If using a vitamixer, can be

immediately strained through hops bag or t-shirt material

cotton. Otherwise, let soak a week or so before filtering.

This is a recipe posted to the Rife listserver in regards to a

thread on skin cancer by someone who wishes to remain

anonymous. I make remarks in braces in a couple of places

where I think additional information is important..

==========================================

I thought this would be of interest while on the

subject of Melanoma.

This is a recipe of a black paste very similar to the cansema,

I have used the cansema a lot over the years, but this is my

preferred paste for melanoma and all suspect skin cancer like

lesions. This paste also has worked well for all manner of

cancers provided that they have become exposed to or very close

to the surface of the skin.

BLACK PASTE

1/2 cup powdered Blood Root (Sanguinaria Canadensis)

1/2 cup Zinc Chloride, crystals or liquid

1/2 cup common white flour (use plain without conditioners)

1 1/2 cup warm water

100ml Chaparral extract or 100gm of powdered Chaparral (Larrea

mexicana)

Pre-mix all but water, thoroughly, before adding to water.

Using stainless steel double boiler. Put in water then stir in

the other ingredients. Stir in well using a wooden spoon.

Cook for thirty minutes over boiling water stirring constantly.

Application is much the same as cansema, apply a thin layer

(2-3mm) of the paste over the affected area and cover for 24

hours. Then remove covering but do not disturb the lesion at

all, do not attempt to pull the cancer out at any time, it

should fall out by itself in 10 days or so.

Some people with sensitive skin put vaseline around the cancer

so that the paste does not irritate the surrounding skin. {turf's note:

NEVER put petroleum products on the body, especially if there

is cancer. Use something like Unpetroleum Jelly, available

at health food stores.}

Hope this is helpful.

{More turf's notes - According to those who have used Cansema,

if the lesion is cancerous, it will cause a large scab to form.

If it is not cancer, it may cause some skin irritation but will

not form the large scab. To get the best results, people

usually use aloe juice blotted onto the scab a few times

daily until the scab falls off and the skin underneath

heals. If necessary, another round of Cansema then aloe

juice is used. Use only

George's brand aloe juice, which is the only one without

additives, plus it is widely available in health food stores

and inexpensive.

Note the instruction to use a double boiler. This may be

important so the mixture will not rise above the temperature

of boiling water.}

Hoxsey Internal Formulas

I don't know the source of veracity of this, so take it for what it is.

The formulas look to be strong alteratives with considerable antiseptic

action provided by the iodide. These are definitely not for someone who is

sensitive or allergic to iodine (like myself - it makes me break out in

small pimples on my forehead so I would not take it.) -- turf

==================== Parablend ====================

Cloves

Wormwood (artemisia absynthium) or gentian root and quassia or

artemisia annua

Neem leaves

Barberry root bark, goldenseal root, or oregon grape

root

Yellowdock, plantain leaves, sheep sorrel, or Chinese rhubarb

Chaparral, burdock, or echinacea

===================================================

Herbal parasite blends should be taken with enzymes like

Enzymatic Therapy Megazymes, American Biologics Inflazyme

Forte, or (best of all) ficin (fig enzyme) for more effect and

to decrease toxicity of parasite remains. Starch and sugar

consumption should be limited and protein consumption increased

in most cases for best results. Many more tips, as well as low

cost suggestions, are given in the Parasite section of Organ

and Body Cleansing.

There were two reasons I developed this blend, based loosely on

Hulda Clark's antiparasitic regimen, which consists of green

extra strength black walnut tincture, fresh cloves, and

wormwood (absynthium). The main one is that green extra

strength black walnut tincture is almost impossible to find

unless it is made oneself. Neem leaves are specified instead.

Another is to provide more cleansing and broader spectrum

action. Many people who use antiparasitics will not or do not

have time to perform the organ cleanses before beginning a

parasite regimen. This can cause a strain on the organs of

elimination and cause an endogenous toxin load in the blood.

Yellowdock, barberry, and chaparral are used to combat this, as

well as provide antiparasitic action of their own. Chaparral

is thought by some to cause a problem with kidneys and lymphs

and some say it is a problem for the liver. This is probably

because its action is so strong that much microbe and parasite

residue is produced. However, chaparral has been used by many

as a sole antiparasitic/antiseptic with no problems and some

excellent naturopaths like Michael Tierra recommend use

at many times the dosage included in Parablend apparently

without problems. Burdock or echinacea are provided as

substitutes for those who are very cautious, and these should

be used instead if the first round of administration of

Paraherbs causes too much painful kidney pressure, upper back

pain, or excessive swelling of lymphs.

Parablend is composed of some of the most bitter herbs known.

It is most easily taken in capsule form, but many take even

bitter herbs like this as a tea. This is very difficult

because of the taste. I have taken the blend by tossing 1/2-1t

at a time to the back of my throat (bypassing taste buds on

tongue) and swallowing with water or mixing a tablespoon or

more in a little pineapple juice and swigging down quickly.

Tossing powdered herbs to the back of the throat is a learned

skill. See article on Capsules and Other Methods of

Administration of Herbs for info on this and other methods and

instruction on encapsulating herbs.

Parablend will likely cause diarrhea for a couple of days if an

antiparasitic or bitter herb blend has never been used.

Besides parasite remains being eliminated, a lot of this is

from stimulation of digestive organs, especially the liver,

from the bitter herbs. It will pass in a few days but if not,

decrease dosage. If there is insufficient elimination, though,

it is highly recommended that a mild antiparasitic laxative,

like half dosages of senna, cascara sagrada, or castor oil be

used to improve elimination of remains and provide extra action

if needed. Take any laxative like these with 3 or 4 ginger

capsules (1t powder) or a teaspoon of fennel seeds (chewed

well) to prevent stomach upset. Always drink plenty of water

during any cleansing regimen.

To make Parablend grind the herbs to a powder, or buy in

powdered form (_EXCEPT_ cloves). These herbs are available at

many stores that stock bulk herbs or they can order them, plus

are available at some places which advertise bulk herbs on the

net. All parts are by WEIGHT.

Neem leaves or powder should be green. Some stocks of the

leaves are so old that they are brown or tan in color. Cloves

refer to clove buds, which are pungent hard flower buds

available in the spice section of markets, commonly used to

stud hams before cooking. They must be purchased whole and

ground oneself for inclusion below because they quickly lose

potency after grinding.

Parts Ingredient

3 Wormwood absynthium

3 Cloves

3 Neem leaves

1 Barberry root bark

1 Yellowdock root

1 Chaparral

Instead of pure wormwood absynthium, a 1/2 and 1/2 blend of

annua and absynthium can be used. This is useful to combat

smaller pathogens such as spirochetes, protozoa, and amoeba as

well as for tropical diseases, especially malaria. A half and

half mixture of quassia and gentian root can be used instead of

wormwood in areas where absythium is difficult to find or

illegal.

Green neem leaves can be hard to find so for the first week or

two, green black walnut leaves or eucalyptus leaves can be

used. Instead of barberry root bark, any other berberine

containing plant can be used, like goldthread root, goldenseal

root or oregon grape root, but barberry is usually easiest to

find and inexpensive. Instead of yellowdock root, chinese

rhubarb root, sheep sorrel, or plantain leaves can be used, but

yellowdock is widely available and should be used instead.

Chaparral is available at many shops that sell bulk but for

those who are cautious, echinacea angustofolia root or burdock

root can be used instead.

This formulation is typically encapsulated, packed into

capsules at about 400-500mg per capsule (#0) and taken at up to

10 capsules two to three times per day before meals for those

with serious parasitic diseases. Taken in powder form as tea

or eaten, up to 2.5t or a scant tablespoon is used. As a

preventative or prophylactically, 5 capsules (hpg teaspoon) is

taken twice per day, or 10 once per day. Use three to four

weeks daily, then once or twice per week afterward.

==================== Euroalt Tea =====================

Yarrow flowers

Calendula flowers

Nettle leaf

Shavegrass

Wood sorrel, sheep sorrel, or plantain leaves

Dandelion root

======================================================

Euroalt Tea is an adaptation of Maria Treben's alterative tea

formula specified in her book " Health Through God's Pharmacy. "

It can be used to combat many diseases. It is similar in

action to essiac tea, but much more potent in its action. The

ingredients in this tea are strongly antibacterial and

antifungal plus have a good deal of antiparasitic and antiviral

properties. It is a urinary and digestive tract astringent,

organ and lymph cleanser, and diuretic. Treben's book is

highly regarded in Europe where she lives. Her remedies for

many diseases are quite effective and although she does not

mention them as a cause of disease in most cases, her regimens

are usually effective against parasites when appropriate. One

problem with her formulas is that many of the herbs she

specifies for use are not available in the US.

Euroalt tea is bitter but not nearly as objectionable as most

antiparasitic blends. It can be taken with fresh lemon

squeezed in and a bit of Sucanat or turbinado sugar or honey if

desired.

It can be used as a very effective antiseptic and healing

external poultice by mixing with water into a paste, applying,

and covering with plastic wrap to conserve moisture. Although

this blend is very safe for external use, the poutice should be

checked every hour for skin irritation and left on only a few

hours at first until it is ensured there is no adverse reaction

to it. An antiseptic tincture can also be made from the powder

by covering with vodka in a jar, leaving in a dark, warm place,

shaking daily for 7 days, then straining out powder.

In many cases, Treben specifies to take her version of the tea

along with a tablespoon of Swedish Bitters three times per

day. Swedish Bitters is sold at some health food stores and is

an alcoholic extraction of bitter herbs which is antiparasitic,

aromatic, and improves digestion. These bitters are expensive,

though, and not nearly effective as an antiparasitic herb blend

(see Parablend recipe) to remove parasites.

For this formula, the appropriate dosage is two teaspoons

Euroalt powder mixed with just-boiled water steeped ten

minutes, with a cup drunk before meals. For prophylactic

treatment, 1-3 cups per day is drunk. For serious illness, 3-6

cups per day are used. A large amount can be made in the

morning and put into a thermos to administer throughout the

day.

As with all diuretics, lots of water should be taken throughout

the day when doing a regimen, and potassium and other

mineral-rich foods (fresh fruits and vegetables preferably

juiced, plus use Morton Lite Salt or other potassium rich salt)

should be freely consumed to prevent electrolyte imbalances. If

a large amount is taken, it is imperative that mineral intake

be increased. Sodium should NOT be restricted as long as

potassium intake is high enough, a 4:1 potassium:sodium intake

being ideal (see Potassium and Sodium section in General

Tips). Calcium/magnesium/potassium supplements are widely

available at herb shops and can also be used. One such is

Solaray Electrolyte Minerals.

To increase strength of any herbal tea, the ingredients should

be ground to a powder. Although it is generally acceptable to

strain teas to remove solids after steeping, it increases their

strength if the powder is consumed along with it.

To make Euroalt tea, grind the herbs to a powder, or buy in

powdered form. These herbs are available at many stores that

stock bulk herbs or they can order them, plus are available at

some places which advertise bulk herbs on the net. All parts

are by WEIGHT.

Parts Ingredient

3 Nettles

3 Calendula flowers

3 Yarrow flowers

1 Dandelion root

1 Sheep sorrel

1 Shavegrass

Instead of sheep sorrel, wood sorrel or plantain leaves can be

used. Fresh pressed wood sorrel juice is specified by Treben

to add to the tea after making instead of using the sorrel

directly in the tea, but wood sorrel is not commonly available

in the US. Plantain leaves can also be used instead of the

sorrel. Use only green leaves or powder if possible.

===================== EuroAcute =====================

Echinacea angustofolia root

Yarrow flowers

Calendula flowers

Goldenseal root

Elder flower

Barberry root bark

Oregon grape root

Licorice root

======================================================

This is an adaptation of my EuroAlt formula but more designed

for acute illness. It still provides a good deal of cleansing

action. Rich in berberine and other antibacterials, it is

strong in action against many pathogens while the echinacea

provides some immune stimulation.

3 parts echinacea angustofolia root

2 parts yarrow flowers

2 parts calendula flowers

1 part goldenseal root

1 part elder flower

1 part barberry root bark

1 part Oregon grape root

1/2 part licorice

I make this into a strong tincture/extract and take a

dropperful (from a 2 oz bottle) every 2 hours for acute

infectious illness.

===================== Castor Phytolacca ================

Cold pressed castor oil

Poke root (phytolacca americana)

Rosemary oil

Vitamin C ascorbic acid crystals

========================================================

Castor phytolacca is a combination topical used to treat

swollen lymph glands, fibrocystic breasts, uterine fibroids,

and to aid liver detox. It is rubbed into the affected area

twice daily or more. For the liver, a poutice can be applied

as for any castor oil liver poultice (although internal liver

supplements are much more useful.)

Although there may be much benefit of taking 8 or so drops

twice daily internally as a cleansing agent, it is better to

use a commercial phytolacca extract for this purpose to ensure

the potency is correct since it can be dangerous taken to

excess internally, but is perfectly safe used as desired

externally.

Poke root or phytolacca is a common roadside weed generally

growing on hillsides in poor soil. The berries are especially

poisonous taken to excess internally, but can be used as a

staining poutice for some disorders. The leaves can be twice

boiled and eaten, as can the young shoots. The root is the

part most commonly used medicinally. It is very strong and

usually requires a mattock to extract a good sized chunk of

it. A 1/2 pound or so chunk of root is required for this recipe

since when the dirty sections are cut and it is well peeled,

about half the weight will be discarded.

Wash and peel root, cutting off dirty portions. Cut into small

chunks. Put in blender and cover with vodka and 1/4t vitamin

C. Blend until perfectly smooth. Strain through cheesecloth

to get 1/2 pint into 1 pint jar. Add 1/2 pint castor oil and

10 drops rosemary oil to fill jar. Shake well before each use.

===================== Multipurpose Deodorant ======================

Vodka

Lemon juice

Vegetable glycerin, sage oil, tea tree oil, grapefruit extract,

lavendar oil, orange oil, eucalyptus oil, lime oil, clove oil,

neem oil, lemon oil, sandalwood oil, peppermint oil, zinc

oxide, aloe juice.

===================================================================

A multipurpose deodorant with no petroleum derivatives or

aluminum.

The easiest recipe is to mix 1/3 vodka, 1/3 lemon juice, 1/3

water and shake well before every use. If this is too

irritating, try using aloe juice (strain well if needed)

instead of water, or adding a 1/6 amount of vegetable glycerin.

Zinc oxide powder (1/2t per 4oz) will improve the action. Any

of the oils stated (10-20 drops per 4oz) will also improve it

and some will add scent, too. Sage oil is one of the premier

deodorant oils and adds some antiperspirant action, too.

Grapefruit extract is a strong antibacterial. The additions of

these or lavendar, neem, eucalyptus, tea tree, clove oil, and

possibly others may aid in draining lymphs (if they are a

problem), rather than possibly clogging them with petroleum

derivatives and other chemicals in regular deodorants. Neem

oil can be added at a much higher amount than 10-20 drops since

it is not irritating, but healing, even straight, but its smell

should be masked with a scented oil.

With the addition of scented oils, this recipe also makes an

excellent air freshener spray. Add the oil(s) at the rate of

40 drops or more per 4 ounces.

Now makes inexpensive oils which are of good quality. Where I

shop at a discount herb shop, Now Tea Tree Oil costs about $7

per ounce, grapefruit extract $8 per ounce, eucalyptus oil $3

per ounce. They also make good quality vegetable glycerin.

Now's grapefruit extract (not grapefruit seed extract) is pure

Citricidal, which is twice as potent than most. I mention the

prices to illustrate how worthwhile it may be to find Now brand

oils and extracts since I have bought many inferior ones at

much higher prices.

==================== Peppermint Breath Drops ==================

Peppermint oil

Vegetable glycerin

Vodka

===============================================================

Mix equal parts of ingredients. Dispense into small bottle.

Shake well before each use. This is very strong - use one drop

at a time.

Now makes inexpensive oils which are of good quality. Where I

shop at a discount herb shop, their peppermint oil costs about

$4 per ounce. They also make good quality vegetable glycerin.

=================== Immune System I ===================

Pau d'arco inner bark

Suma root

=======================================================

Mix equal parts of powdered pau d'arco inner bark and suma

root. Pour boiled water (16oz) over 1 hpg tablespoon powder,

steep, and drink. Use 3-6 cups per day or as desired for

serious disease or less as preventative. Take for 30 days at

maximum dose, and then as needed. As in all herbal teas, it is

best to use fine ground powdered herbs and drink the powder

along with the liquid. This can make them much more powerful,

albeit more bitter.

These are two herbs that may be taken in large amounts. Taken

together in sufficient quantities, they make a powerful remedy

for many maladies. On their own, each one has cured many types

of cancer and other serious and chronic diseases. Together,

they seem complementary as each provides unique elements and

actions.

Suma is a tonic herb which improves energy levels and is

" adaptogenic " , probably better than ginseng. It is expensive

compared to most herbs at up to $6US per ounce in bulk, but

much cheaper than panax ginseng. It appears to work

systemically to stimulate many organs. It is a rich source of

germanium, an important immune system factor. It is an

excellent supplement for all forms of cancer, but especially

leukemia, breast cancer, and Hodgkin's disease, plus effective

for diabetes and one of the best to alleviate chronic fatigue.

Pau d'arco is also known as lapacho or taheebo, among other

names. Besides being a very good immune stimulant, pau d'arco

supposedly gently cleans the organs and provides nutrients, is

antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral, is one of the milder

tasting antiparasitics, and can be taken in tea form. It is

one of the few natural sources of CoQ10, a coenzyme which is

used as a cellular antioxidant which supposedly inhibits cancer

cells and as a circulatory system nutrient. Large amounts of

CoQ10 are used by Hulda Clark to combat tapeworms, one of the

more difficult parasites to treat. Pau d'arco is traditionally

used for a great many chronic and degenerative disorders and is

most effective taken long term daily. Besides its many useful

properties in fighting disease, it also helps fight pain since

it is mildly antiinflammatory and slightly diuretic.

Diseases against which pau d'arco seems particularly effective

include all forms of cancer and especially tumors, leukemia,

and Hodgkin's, plus lupus, diabetes, polyps, rheumatism,

Parkinson's, anemia, and maladies of the digestive, urinary,

and respiratory tracts and skin.

The one large problem with pau d'arco is that it is usually of

questionable potency. The inner bark of the tree should be

used, but this is rarely specified when it is sold in bulk.

There are many species of tree, and only certain ones should be

used. The purple variety is probably the best. Wisdom of the

Ancients brand herbal tea is one of the few which markets a

purple lapacho that is stated to be the inner bark properly

cured. They also market a " plain " lapacho for a dollar or so

cheaper per box. I found a site on the web which sells this

brand of purple lapacho, but it is significantly more expensive

than I have seen in many health food stores.

Lapachol is perhaps the most active medicinal constituent of

pau d'arco, but there is no way of knowing if a product contains

any. One study in Canada showed that out of 12 pau d'arco

products, only one had any detectable lapachol. Yet, inner

bark typically contains 2-4% lapachol, so these were probably

made of the outer bark or from a non-suitable species. There

is one product sold in the US which is guaranteed potency at 3%

lapachol and that is Herbal Active's Pau D'Arco. However, this

is a very expensive product at about $15 per 60 small

capsules. Michael Murray specifies to take 3% pau d'arco at a

dosage of 15-20g three or four times per day. This would be

one entire bottle per dose. Quite expensive when it is

considered that a pound of the powdered bark typically costs

less than $15 in bulk.

However, there are about 40 active constituents in pau d'arco

bark and most of them have at least some beneficial action.

Even though lapachol may be the one most effective

against the broadest range of bacteria, beta lapachone is one

perhaps most effective against viruses and some parasites. The

seven or more quinones in lapacho are perhaps most effective

against fungi like candida and some bacteria like dysentery and

tuberculosis plus many viruses. The quercetin component,

besides being an excellent antioxidant, is one of the

components effective against parasites, as is alpha lapachone.

Further, when extracts are standardized for high contents of

lapachol, the antimicrobial activity decreases, which implies

that the other active constituents are as or more effective

against bacteria and other pathogens when taken together. This

leads me to believe that even the run-of-the-mill pau d'arco

available in bulk has many benefits even if there is very

little lapachol.

Pau d'arco taken in small amounts is mild tasting, with a taste

reminiscent of root beer. When taken in large amounts, the

bitterness takes over, however, and using 1.5T per pint of

water (3x the amount normally used in herb teas) makes a tea

that is quite bitter, but still drinkable by most. Wisdom of

the Ancients brand is usually less bitter tasting than the

typical powdered pau d'arco sold in bulk. Adding a squeeze of

lemon and/or peppermint leaves improves the taste, and a small

amount of sugar like honey or turbinado further improves it.

Very large amounts can cause anemia, probably by inhibition of

beneficial intestinal bacteria, and there is an LD50 in rats

for lapachol, but unless a pound or so is eaten per day, these

side effects are negligible.

The most effective dosage of pau d'arco according to

Michael Moore, a naturopath who has studied the herb a good

deal, is 15-20g (3T powder) made into a tea with a pint of water

and taking a pint 3 or 4 times per day. The Wisdom of the

Ancients brand Purple Lapacho gives the " Ancient Formula " to be

16-20g (8-10 bags) per quart of water. I assume this is meant

to be taken three times per day, but the box does not say

this. They specify the " natural formula " to be one bag (2g)

per cup of water taken three times per day. I have heard of

people getting significant relief from maladies using this

small amount, causing chronic diseases to become asymptomatic,

but reappear as soon as daily use was ceased. The higher

doses are, of course, more likely to be curative rather than

palliative.

Suma is used as a food in South America and large amounts may

be taken safely. 6g (1T powder) taken three times per day is

considered a therapeutic dose, but more can be taken as desired

and the ideal is probably around 30g per day. There are no

harmful side effects taken at these amounts reported in any of

the literature I have seen. However, it appears to be

constipating so should be taken with enough daily magnesium and

water to overcome this effect, or the dosage descreased until

it is not a problem. The taste of suma is bland and

vanilla-like at small doses, but, like pau d'arco, at larger

doses the bitterness is pronounced.

The bitter taste of these herbs is of no consequence when

capsules are taken. To get a decent dose, the equivalent of

1.5T of the mixture, requires 20-30 capsules of a combination,

or 10-15 500mg capsules of each, and this is taken three times

per day. Pau d'arco is available inexpensively in capsules - I

have seen Now brand for $4 per 100 450mg capsules. Suma is

quite a bit more expensive in capsules or tablets, running

about $10-15 per 60 capsules or tablets, but this price will

probably drop as the herb becomes more widely available {that

was written in early 1997. Sure enough, the herb has become

more widely available and the price has dropped. Presently,

suma is commonly available for under $10 per 100 capsules and

the bulk price for powder has dropped from $60-80 per pound to

less than $30.} At present, it is much cheaper to buy the

herbs in bulk and drink tea form. Also, capsules can be made

oneself and herbs can be taken in other manners besides tea

(see Encapsulation and Other Methods of Administration.)

Cat's claw is a relatively new supplement to the US market and

is also a tree bark product like pau d'arco. It appears to

have many of the same actions as pau d'arco and is probably

more effective when compared to an equal weight of pau d'arco.

It is not nearly as well studied and therefore less used, but I

suspect that eventually it will be found to be more effective

than pau d'arco for many diseases. It is quite bitter compared

to pau d'arco and less suitable for taking large amounts in tea

form.

======================= Immune System II =====================

Enzymatic Therapy ImmunoComp

Enzymatic Therapy Esberitox

Solaray Thymus Plus

Eclectic Institute Echinacea Chewables

Now Cat's Claw 5000

Vitamin C

Enzymatic Therapy Doctor's Choice multivitamin, Astragalus,

echinacea angustofolia root, goldenseal root or barberry root

bark, licorice root, shitake or maitake mushroom, fo ti,

cordyceps, thymus gland, Enzymatic Therapy Megazymes,

beneficial bacteria.

==============================================================

The absolute best regimens for the immune system are the

following:

1) Remove toxins from the home environment and do not ingest or

absorb molds, metals, or solvents. See Toxin Reduction.

2) Cleanse the organs of deposits, toxins, parasites, and other

pathogens. See Organ and Body Cleansing.

3) Eat right. Get adequate protein and plenty of vegetables

and ensure enough vitamins, minerals, and EFAs. See General

Tips for multivitamin and multimineral recommendations.

What's the point of spending a lot of money on supplements to

palliate a poorly functioning immune system when the base cause

is not being addressed? Cleaning the body of toxins and

pathogens may improve organ function (thyroid, liver, kidneys,

lymphs, etc) and improve immune response and resistance to

diseases many times more effectively than any immune system

herb. However, taking immune stimulants may be helpful while

cleaning up, and during illness when there is no time to

cleanup.

The next most important changes for the majority of people are

nutritional: ensure adequate dietary nutrition, especially

protein, plus a good variety of vegetables and healthy oils;

consume adequate vitamins, especially antioxidants and B

vitamins; consume adequate minerals, like zinc, selenium, and

magnesium. Antioxidants and enzymes can also greatly improve

the immune system. Extra vitamins A, E, and especially C are

helpful. If there is currently a lack of enzyme production in

the body, taking a good enzyme product like Enzymatic Therapy

Megazymes can be very effective. If there is an imbalance of

flora in the gut, the Digestion and Elimination regimen of

turmeric and fennel seeds and perhaps beneficial bacteria

should be performed.

Avoiding moldy folds, especially grains and moldy produce

products, is especially important. I have seen one case where

very low lymphocytes returned to normal in a matter of weeks

once the person stopped drinking a daily cup of organic

unfiltered apple juice. Bruised apples are a source of patulin

mold, according to Hulda Clark, and quite harmful to T-cell

counts. Grain products are the largest source of harmful molds.

See Toxin Reduction for further information on avoiding molds.

Untended infections can wreak havoc on the immune system,

occupying it so that other pathogens can not be dealt with

effectively. Dentalwork is likely a common cause of constant

infection so any questionable areas should be seen to be a

professional. Parasites and other systemic pathogens can also

greatly affect the immune system and these must be addressed

before immune performance can improve if they are a problem.

Basically, this means to do the following:

1) Cleanup toxins and pathogens, then avoid them.

2) Eat more protein (30% calories) and vegetables (see The Zone

and Eat Right For Your Type) and less starches and sugars.

3) Take a good multivitamin like Enzymatic Therapy Doctor's

Choice or other complete high potency multivitamin or otherwise

ensure adequate vitamins.

4) Take a good cal-mag like Solaray Calcium Magnesium or other

chelated mineral supplement or otherwise ensure adequate

minerals.

5) Take a tablespoon of flax oil per day or otherwise ensure

adequate EFA consumption and avoid hydrogenated oils and trans

fats (fried foods).

Once these basic are addressed and more help is needed, then

the following supplements are good values to improve immune

response:

Enzymatic Therapy Super Immuno-Comp - Guaranteed potency

extracts of goldenseal, echinacea, astragalus, licorice, and

shitake plus vitamins C and B6 and zinc.

Enzymatic Therapy Esberitox - Tiny amounts of extracts of wild

indigo, thuja, and echinacea. These herbs are premier

cleansers, immune stimulants, and thuja is an excellent

antiparasitic, although in this small dose, it probably does

not have enough action taken short term.

Solaray Thymus Plus Caps - Mostly glandulars and echinacea herb

with some goldenseal root and cloves.

Eclectic Institute's Echinacea Chewables - Echinacea extracts

with vitamin C and larix, which is extract of larch, a better

source of polysacharrides than echinacea.

Now Cat's Claw 5000 - Guaranteed potency cat's claw extract

that, considering it is a 15:1 extract, is cheaper than any

other cat's claw product per dose I have seen in my area.

Vitamin C - An inexpensive immune stimulant. High dose regimen

is described in Antioxidant section of General Tips.

Some of the ingredients which compose the above supplements can

be quite useful taken on their own, too. Plus, most of them

are available in bulk at some health food stores at a good

price if one doesn't mind taking large amounts of the bulk

herbs rather than capsules of extracts. One formula I have

used is the following. Ingredients are ground to a fine powder

or bought as such. Can be taken up to 1 heaping tablespoon

powder three or four times per day up to four weeks. For long

term administration at this high dosage, omit goldenseal (or

barberry) and decrease licorice root to 1/4 part after the first

month.

Parts Ingredient

1 Goldenseal root or barberry root bark

1 Echinacea angustofolia root

1 Astragalus

1 Cat's claw

1/4 Licorice root

====================== Colloidal Silver =======================

8-12 oz jar or glass

2 Silver ingots (0.999 or more pure) and thin bamboo

skewers, or silver wire

3 9v batteries

3 9v battery terminal clip snap-ons (pack of 5 available at

Radio Shack for $1)

Distilled water

2 small alligator clips

Thin bamboo skewers

================================================================

Connect 3 battery clips in series (positive to negative,

connecting red wires to black). On the 2 unconnected wire

ends, attach alligator clips. Preferably, solder to hold well,

but electrical tape can be used after twisting wires together.

Use only pure silver (99.9% or purer), not sterling. Some coin

and fine jewelry shops sell pure silver ingots. A 1oz bar was

about $7 last time I looked (months ago) and is probably even

cheaper now. Pure silver wires are sold by some manufacturers

mail order, and are much easier to use and even cheaper at $12

a pair.

For ingots, drill small holes on either side of top of bar to

accept bamboo skewers.

Put batteries on clips. Do not touch clips or ingots once the

batteries are connected or they will short.

Wash jar or glass well. Rinse, then fill, with distilled

water. Use _only_ distilled water. If purchased in a plastic

jug, use one with a freshness date. Bring to boil in microwave

and remove.

Run skewers through tops of ingots so that they are 1 " apart

and parallel. Suspend over glass so that ingots have maximum

exposure to water, but ensure bamboo or clips which will be

attached on top of ingots will not touch water.

It may be necessary to use very small clips since the weight of

large ones, or wire that is too stiff, may result in ingots

being pulled to other than a parallel hanging position. Use

paper shims under clips or otherwise arrange wires and clips to

hold ingots in parallel, vertical position.

Once the ingots are connected to power, watch for whitish cloud

to begin forming between them (not easy to see - use flashlight

if necessary). First, bubbles will form on ingots and 5-10 minutes

later, particles will be seen emitting from one ingot. Start

timer. Run for five more minutes.

To speed up the process a bit, add an ounce of silver colloid

from a previous batch.

When done, remove ingots and clean tarnish off with

Scotch brite pad. Pour colloid through multiple unbleached

paper coffee filters. Pour into amber or brown bottles which

have been cleaned and rinsed with distilled water. Store away

from light and heat.

This makes a metallic tasting but very clear colloid.

--------------------------

I do not have enough experience with colloidal silver to

personally vouch for its effectiveness, but many who make the

stuff for the price of distilled water rave about it. I have

used commercial 5 ppm " yellow " colloid and found it practically

useless, and it was outrageously expensive to boot at about $10

for an ounce (a couple of years ago - price for some products

has dropped a good deal). Advocates say that 30ppm or greater

is the ideal concentration, and that less than this is usually

ineffective. They also report that the clear form is best and

yellow colloid, once thought to be the best quality, is caused

by contaminants like salt added when processing and contains

silver compounds like silver chloride and nitrate which can be

harmful to take long term or large amounts. Strong silver

nitrate is commonly used as a topical antiseptic and

cauterizing agent in conventional medicine, and is not

recommended for internal use. A light golden color is still

acceptable to many CS advocates, and some people use distilled

spring water to achieve it.

A high dosage for internal use for acute maladies would be

one ounce (2T) taken initially then 1T every two waking hours

for up to two days. I would not use it longer than two days

consecutively. If it did not work by then, I would try

something else.

Silver ions may or may not make it across the intestinal

barrier when swallowed. Some say it does when made properly

with the particle size in the 0.001 micron or lower range.

Even so, for head, chest, nasal, or any infection outside the

digestive tract, I hold it in my mouth, under and around the

tongue, for one minute before swallowing so that some will be

absorbed into the blood stream sublingually. Also, before

swallowing, gargle with it to increase exposure to lower tongue

and throat. It can also be sprayed nasally, and this seems

particularly effective in combatting nasal infections. It can

be used topically as desired.

I cannot vouch for the safety of colloidal silver taken

internally long term daily, but it is apparently safe to take

short term to combat acute illness. According to balanced

literature I have read (as opposed to government or

pharmaceutical company scare-mongering), a pure ionic colloid

with no contaminants is safe taking even large amounts long

term. Solutions of silver proteins or any other form other

than pure ionic colloid can cause problems, though, including

argyvia, where the skin takes on a bluish cast, and presently,

there is one person who took large amounts of a silver protein

solution and whose skin turned blue being trotted out to show

the harmful effects, ostensibly of any silver colloid. Either

way, I would take it only short term and to treat acute illness.

Advocates insist that it is safe and some have taken large

amounts internally long term without side effects. Many state

that it is among the best treatment for chronic and acute

infections as well as topically for fungus, cuts, scrapes,

etc. I have seen a few anecdotes of people using prescription

drugs, herbs, and other supplements for long time infections

report no success until they started using colloidal silver.

This recipe is proferred so that one can make some and have it

sitting around in case of illness (like the flu or cold), use a

few ounces daily for a couple days, see how it does, and report

the results. If it is used for colds, remember that any remedy

that can quickly cure a cold must be administered in the first

few hours after symptoms appear. After this, damage to cells

caused by cold virus enzymes (similar to the action of spider

venom) will occur and immediate cure of symptoms is not

possible. Again, it should be used sublingually to be more

effective outside the digestive tract.

The following excerpt is from

http://www.keelynet.com/biology/colloid.htm (and is complete

with the typical keelynet conspiracy overtones (never attribute

to malicious conspiracy that which can adequately explained by

simple stupidity)). This article goes on to explain how to

build a 27V zapper (square wave generator) connected to fine

silver wire for making the colloid, but those who have

experimented with the process state that using a straight DC

current with ingots as described in the above process works

just as well or better. One of the keys to the above process

is likely using boiling water, which I wager more than makes up

for using a straight DC current as opposed to a pulsed one.

>>>>>Excerpt>>>>>

Dr. Robert O. Becker, " The Body Electric, " recognized a

correlation between low silver levels and sickness. He said

silver deficiency was responsible for the improper functioning

of the immune system. Dr. Becker's experiments conclude that

silver works on the full spectrum of pathogens without any

side effects or damage to the body. He also states that silver

does more than kill disease-causing organisms.

It also causes major growth stimulation of injured tissues.

Burn patients and even elderly patients notice more rapid

healing. And he discovered that cancer cells can change

back to normal cells. All strains of pathogens resistant

to other antibiotics are killed by silver.

What is Colloidal Silver?

Colloidal Silver is the result of an electro-magnetic process

that pulls microscopic particles from a larger piece of silver

into a liquid, such as water.(8) These microscopic particles

can more easily penetrate and travel throughout the body.

Colloidal Silver works as a catalyst, disabling the enzyme

that all one celled bacteria, fungi and viruses use for their

oxygen metabolism. In short, the bad guys suffocate. Unlike

with antibiotics, resistant strains have never been known to

develop.

In fact, antibiotics are only effective against perhaps a

dozen forms of bacteria and fungi, but never viruses. Because

no known disease-causing organism can live in the presence of

even minute traces of the chemical element of metallic silver,

Colloidal Silver is effective against more than 650 different

disease-causing pathogens.(9)

Since there is not enough room to list all the diseases against

which Colloidal Silver has been used successfully, here is a

tiny sample: acne, allergies, appendicitis, arthritis, blood

parasites, bubonic plague, burns (colloidal silver is one of

the few treatments that can keep severe burn patients alive),

cancer,(10) cholera, conjunctivitis, diabetes, gonorrhea, hay

fever, herpes, leprosy, leukemia, lupus, lymphangitis, Lyme

disease, malaria, meningitis, parasitic infections both viral

and fungal, pneumonia, rheumatism, ringworm, scarlet fever,

septic conditions of the eyes, ears, mouth and throat, shingles,

skin cancer, staph infections, strep infections, syphilis,

toxemia, trenchfoot, all forms of viruses, warts and stomach

ulcer.

In addition it has veterinary uses, such as for canine

parvo virus. You'll also find Colloidal Silver very handy in

the garden since it can be used against bacterial, fungal and

viral attacks on plants.

Simply spray diluted Colloidal Silver on the leaves, and add

to soil water.

It would appear highly unlikely that even germ warfare agents

could survive an encounter with Colloidal Silver, since viruses

like Ebola and Hanta, or even the dreaded " flesh-eating

bacteria " are, in the end, merely hapless viruses and bacteria.

To top it off, Colloidal Silver is virtually non-toxic, making

it safe for both children and adults, as well as pets.(11, 12)

In short, anything bigger than a one-cell animal seems to like it.

Nor does one have to worry about that FDA (Food and Drug

Administration) fox being put in charge of this home remedy hen

house. Colloidal Silver is a pre-1938 healing modality, making

it exempt from FDA jurisdiction under the grandfather clause.(13)

So why haven't you heard of it?

I suspect the user-friendly economics of Colloidal Silver may

have something to do with its low profile in the media. Colloidal

Silver can't help but shine a spotlight on the expensive and

deadly nature of our pharmaceutical industries, who are bigger

than the Pentagon economically.

For example, the pharmaceutical cartel's relentless promotion

of dangerous vaccines for humans and animals through government

programs have now been linked to everything from increasing crib

deaths in infants (who in many documented cases scream for hours

before dying), to the increasingly common disease, feline

leukemia, in house cats.(14) Colloidal Silver, on the other hand,

is a safe and reliable alternative to expensive pharmeceuticals.

It is true that consuming large amounts over long periods of

time may kill some friendly bacteria in your intestines. If

taking large amounts, you should supplement your diet with

yogurt or acidophilus, or compensate for possible bacteria loss

in some other way.

This is not, however, a serious problem, and unlike antibiotics,

Colloidal Silver does not weaken the body's immune system. In

fact, it is said to give the body a second immune system,

creating a shield against disease of all kinds.

A good quality Colloidal Silver can be diluted as much as 8

to 1 and still be highly effective. An average adult dose might

be one or two ounces of concentrate mixed in an eight-ounce

glass of water, not more than three times a day. However, there

would appear to be a great deal of leeway here, since no toxic

dose is known.

Sadly, some Colloidal Silvers currently on the market have as

little as 1 part per million (ppm) and sell for as much as

$60.00 for eight ounces. However, thanks to physicist Bob

Beck's brilliantly simple design outlined below, you can now

construct your own generator and produce unlimited amounts

of high-quality Colloidal Silver concentrate. And for only

1/10th of a cent per gallon, plus the price of water!

Ginger (2)

Crampbark (1)

Oregon grape root (1)

Coriander (1)

Turmeric (1)

Wild yam root (1)

Peppermint leaves (1 - 2)

===========================================================

This formula helps alleviate almost any digestive disturbance,

whether it is indigestion, acid reflux, cramping, diarrhea,

mild constipation, etc. It should be taken with water.

After mixing, the herbs can be put into capsules, made into

tea, or mixed with a bit of honey and/or water and eaten.

Although a bit bitter (from the grape root and crampbark) and

spicy hot (from the ginger, cinnamon, and coriander), it is

palatable. Dose is 2-4 capsules or more as desired, or a

teaspoon eaten or in tea, more or less as desired.

Made into tea without tea bags, the slippery elm is a bit

distasteful as it becomes mucilage, but it is not too bad. If

in tea bags, though, one does not get the benefit of consuming

the mucilage. For best results, do not use a tea bag, leave

the powder in, and drink/eat it if making a tea.

Peppermint leaves can be added for flavor (although it tastes

pretty good already), but should NOT be if the formula will

often be used for acid indigestion (reflux).

Although Tum-Eze is excellent to quell acid indigestion as is,

the optional Trisalts combination powder can be added to

increase the action. It will detract from the flavor of a tea,

however.

It excels at alleviating and preventing cramping and

indigestion (knots in the stomach) and this is the reason for

which I originally designed the formula. It will give one a

pleasant, warm feeling in the stomach in a very short time. It

is especially good to be taken when using vitamin C, zinc, or

other potentially gut-wrenching supplements. It also improves

digestion from large meals.

Although a blend with stronger antibacterial and antiparasitic

action should be used for chronic disorders like IBS and

Crohn's, Tum-Eze can greatly alleviate symptoms and may even be

therapeutic if enough is taken.

Dandelion root is a diuretic, and will cause increased

urination if taken in large enough amounts. Plenty of water

should be drunk. Even though dandelion root is among the

safest of diuretics since it is rich in potassium, salt

(sodium) should NOT be completely avoided and potassium-and-

other-mineral-rich foods should be eaten if taking Tum-Eze

long term.

" Nasal Spray 996 "

Ingredients: Colloidal silver, aloe juice, shark liver oil,

lavendar oil, zinc chelate.

Mix 2/3 colloidal silver with 1/3 ratio aloe juice. To one

ounce of the mixture, mix in one small shark liver oil (250mg)

or vitamin A/D capsule (25000IU/1000IU) and 1 drop lavendar

oil. Can also add a pinch of zinc mix from a zinc capsule or

tablet (25mg or so). Shake well each use. Spray as desired.

Can be used in conjunction with Now Fenugreek Thyme capsules

taken internally, which are very inexpensive ($4 / 100) but

hard to find. They are 700mg fenugreek to 300mg thyme per 2

capsules.

For nasal spray bottles in the past, I would go to Costco and

buy their 2 pack of conventional nasal spray ($2.50), dump them

out and use the bottles. Then I found Luce Packaging which

sells nasal spray pump bottles on the net (but there is a 12

bottle min.)

Two recipes for essiac follow. One is for a large batch and

one for small. The classic formula is given first, but I like

the second where a single batch is made at a time in a crock

pot. I think there is much benefit in this formula if taken in

large amounts, like drinking at least a pint per day. If I

could not make it ahead of time, I would just get powders of

all the herbs and mix it up into boiling water and drink it

like any other tea, consuming the powder in the bottom of the

cup. Drunk in sufficient quantity, it would be a good

antiseptic and cleanser.

The ESSIAC formula : 6 & 1/2 cups of Burdock Root (cut)

16 ounces of Sheep Sorrel herb (powder)

1 ounce of Turkey Rhubarb Root (powder)

4 ounces of Slippery Elm Bark (powder)

Preparation of ESSIAC herbal tea :

1) Measure out 8 ounces of the Essiac mix (the dry

formula above)

2) Place two gallons of distilled water in a stainless

steel kettle.

3) Bring the water to a brisk boiling point (about 30

minutes)

4) Put ESSIAC dry mix into the boiling water, stir and

boil hard for about 10 minutes

5) Allow to sit and cool slowly for six hours.

6) After six hours, stir it thoroughly with a wooden or

stainless tool

7) Let it sit for another six hours

8) Return kettle to stove and bring to a boil

9) When the boiling point is reached, turn off the heat

and pour the contents through a stainless strainer

into a second stainless kettle

10) Clean the first kettle thoroughly

11) Strain the contents a second time from pot two to pot

one

12) Bottle the herbal tea immediately into dark amber

bottles and seal it while still hot

(*** Dark amber bottles may be purchased

from most any drug store or pharmacy ***)

13) Store in refrigerator

Directions for use of ESSIAC

Heat two ounces (four tablespoons) distilled water, then

mix it with two ounces of ESSIAC tea taken directly from

the refrigerator.

ESSIAC should be taken at bed time on an empty stomach, at

least two hours after eating.

It can be taken in the morning on an empty stomach. If

taken in the morning, do not eat for at least two hours

after taking the ESSIAC.

Keep the ESSIAC refrigerated at all times.

Shake well each time before pouring.

Ezekiel Bread Recipe

" Sprout 2 cups of wheat until the sprouts are only 1/2 inch or shorter.

If they grow longer than that, the final loaf will be too " green " . It

usually takes 24 to 48 hours for the sprouts to reach 1/2 inch in

length.

Grind the sprouted wheat. We use an old fashioned hand-cranked meat

grinder. You will end up with a rubbery glob.

Form into an oval shaped loaf and bake in a shallow dish at 250 to 275

degrees (F) for about 1.5 to 2 hours, until browned.

Cool, keep refrigerated, and slice with a wet, serrated knife. The

finished bread has a pleasantly sweet flavor. Some like to top a slice

with cheese and make a real meal of it.

Note: You can add whatever extra ingredients are appropriate for the

blood types in your household (chopped dates, raisins, salt, honey,

grated carrots, whatever). You can also substitute rye grain for wheat,

if you prefer. Be creative

================== Nuts and Nut Butters ===================

Peanuts, pecans, sesame seeds, flax seeds, flax oil, Brazil

nuts, extra virgin olive oil, grape seed oil, macadamia oil,

macadamia nuts, cashews, filberts, pine nuts.

===========================================================

Nuts usually contain large amounts of lectins and therefore

have the potential to be allergenic or otherwise harmful to

digestion and the immune system. See D'Adamo's " Eat Right For

Your Type " to see recommendations based on blood type. For

example, peanuts are beneficial to blood type A's and AB's but

potentially harmful to blood type O's and B's.

Almonds are okay or beneficial to all blood types, as are

walnuts. Excessive amounts of walnuts or flax seeds or other

omega 3 sources should be avoided, though, since they can

interfere with prostaglandin production, but they are highly

beneficial taken in lesser amounts. See General section on

Fats and Oils for more information.

When consuming nuts, they should be thoroughly ground or chewed

well. They are usually not digested when they are not, and can

irritate the digestive tract, especially ones like almonds and

peanuts.

Nuts should be eaten raw when possible. High heat roasting

will damage the oils, turning some healthy raw oils into

harmful trans fats. Raw oils taken in moderation are useful to

combat many ailments but overcooked nuts can contribute to many

ailments. However, peanuts, really legumes and not nuts, must

be cooked to be digestible. Blanching is acceptable to process

them. This means soaking in a bit of water and baking at low

heat until dry. This will cook peanuts well enough to be

digestible.

Peanuts are a source of aflatoxins and molds, more so than any

nut. This problem can be minimized by soaking peanuts in water

to which ascorbic acid (crystal vitamin C, 1/4t) has been added

before baking and sorting out any dark or shriveled nuts. Bake

at 300 deg until dry. Walnut Acre Farms sells peanut butter

which is tested for aflatoxins, so is probably the best

commercial peanut butter to use if it will not be made. They

also make almond butter, and health food stores often sell raw

almond butter, too. Pumpkin seeds are also potentially moldy

and should be treated as peanuts, soaking them in vitamin C

water and baking just until dry. It is also best to add

vitamin C when grinding nuts. Adding too much will make a

butter sour, though, so don't overdo it.

Nuts can be ground in a high power food processor, large

blender, or grinder. The thick, sticky butters will put a

strain on most food processors and blenders, causing premature

failure. The standard sized Cuisinart is probably the cheapest

device that is able to make nut butters. Large blenders like

the Vitamixer are able. Nut grinders are the best. They are

available which attach to certain mixers (like Kitchenaid) and

food processing centers.

With food processors and blenders, it is much easier to add

some oil to quicken the process and put less strain on the

device. Just about any fresh cold processed oil, or extra

virgin olive oil, can be added at about 2T or to correct

consistency. Flax oil can be used to ensure a source of omega

3s and flax seeds will not be used. Nut grinders, of course,

need no oils added to make nut butters. A limited amount of

sweetening may be added like up to 2T Sucanat, brown or

turbinado sugars, or honey, if desired.

Below are the highly beneficial and acceptable nuts to use in

for each blood type. The double comma delineates the highly

beneficial nuts listed first from the " neutral " nuts listed

after, as described by D'Adamo. Then a suggested basic recipe

is given. Basic recipes are suggestions based not just on

lectins but oil and mineral content and composition, taste, and

cost. Additions used as desired are given, too.

Find the blend you like best but always try to include an omega

3 source (flax or flax oil). Walnut is not a good one to use

exclusively since it is pretty low in omega 3 and too high in

omega 6. Pumpkin seeds may or may not contain omega 3's.

However, don't use omega 3 nuts or seeds as a main ingredient

if this will be a food source staple and over 4T per day will

be consumed.

======================================

According to Udo Erasmus, hemp seeds make an excellent butter.

They are the only complete and balanced oil content seed, and

can be used exclusively. However, they are hard to find if not

illegal in most of the US and when they are sold, must first be

irradiated to comply with US law.

======================== Ghee =======================

1 or 2 lb unsalted butter

Salt, if desired - Morton's Lite Salt or Hain's Sea Salt or

Baleine Sea Salt.

=====================================================

Put a pound or two of unsalted butter in a saucepan and heat on

medium/high until it boils. Skim foam as it forms. Then, turn

down the heat to low and stir occasionally. After about 20

minutes, the butter will clarify and the solids will sink to

the bottom of the pan. After another 5 minutes or so, the

solids will brown. It is then done. Strain through multiple

layers of cheesecloth into a canning jar. Refrigeration is not

necessary.
