Wyoming Withdraws Religious Exemption Bill

Dear Members and Friends -

It is so important for us to stay on top of legislative issues in each of our

states. Thankfully for Wyoming, they have Jacque Jones and Susan Pearce

informing people about vaccine dangers and misconceptions. Through their

diligence and perserverence, they were able to get a bill stopped that would end

the right of families to claim a religious exemption to vaccines. The bill is

below:

They still have a lot of work ahead of them. They have visions of having a

personal conviction exemption to vaccines similar to Washington and Idaho.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Wyoming House Withdraws Religious Exemption Bill

(Banner, Wyo.) The Wyoming Vaccine Information Network has announced today

(Monday) that House Bill 0005, which would have eliminated the religious

exemption that presently exists with regard to mandatory vaccinations for both

public and private schools, has been withdrawn by its sponsors in the Wyoming

House of Representatives.

Jacque Jones of Wyoming Vaccine Information Network stated, " This is indeed a

victory for all of the volunteers in Wyoming who made the effort to contact

their State Representatives, and to explain the many reasons why it is essential

to keep the religious exemption intact when it comes to mandatory vaccinations. "

Pro-life advocates also strongly supported this effort because, according to one

Casper pro-lifer, JoAnn Williams, " the possibility that any vaccine has as a

source aborted fetal tissue is an issue that needs to be brought to public

attention. The pro-life community wishes to be an advocate for those most

vulnerable members of our society who have no voice. "

The Christian Science Church also fought this bill, since their members use

spiritual, and not medical, methods in providing for their health care.
